Your exactly like a guy in this thread. Strong opinions about a brand he knows nothing about. Research and experience and then opening your mouth will save yourself some embarrassment.
The general concensus even on a rolex forum after filtering out the nonsense was that Grand Seiko quality is higher than that of Rolex. Valuable opinions came from owners of both brands and reviews from reputable sites, magazines and horology experts. https://www.rolexforums.com/showthre...+seiko+quality |

Meanwhile back on-topic. . .
That GS is a beauty and I'm not keen on the DJII so for me, between the two, it would have to be the GS. I had the chance to handle one (a GS but not that particular model) for the first time recently and I was simply blown away by the quality. It really is a true connoisseurs watch. |

OP, both watches you are considering are high quality and worthy of ownership.
The biggest downside to choosing the Grand Seiko appears to be the words "Grand Seiko" on the dial, which apparently indicates to some that you are a Camry driving make-up artist for farm animals. I'm not sure if that's a bad thing or not? |

To the OP... I would lean towards the GS due to the overall craftsmanship of the line... But I would still have to try both on to make the final call. Have fun and good luck! |

I thought I was among kings (rolex crowns). But I was wrong. You are the guys who date fat girls and say well, she has pretty eyes and diss babes as being too vain... You guys prefer BMW bikes over Harley's... Well I'm a American. And I like my eggs over easy....

Wow, I am speechless and embarrassed by the comment above.
I don't think I am out of bounds by asking you to keep your comments to yourself for the dignity of TRF. |

I can only speak the truth, no matter how hurtful or uneasy it makes one feel.
My brother don't be embarrassed, stand up for the truth. Rolex is King, not trying to be offensive. Just want you guys on the right side of history. |

What is truth? Your stating an opinion about a watch brand. We all enjoy Rolex here and to many it's their favorite brand and that is why we joined TRF but to say you are a king and above other people because you own one is not the message we as forum want to stand for.
Owning any luxury item such as a Rolex watch is a blessing to be thankful for. |

Love Patek, Harry Winston etc. I love all watches, don't get me wrong. I'm not calling myself a king over men.
Besides what a king to a god? Guys lighten up.. I just prefer the rolex over seiko... Roles doesn't need any gimmicks like the word Grand...no it's rolex and it speaks for itself. |

But, the cron is no gimmick.. It represents craftsmanship, quality, hard work, sacrifice, and its not a fancy timex like the seiko. If you drop the word Grand from it, it's a seiko. However, every rolex movement has achieved greatness, hence the crown.

The company your saying is junk, Grand Seiko is the opposite of what you think. Everything you stated is exactly what they stand for minus the marketing and gimmicks. That is why True watch enthusiast have so much respect for them. http://www.grand-seiko.com/ |

Fellas, stop feeding the obvious troll. Seiko may need a slight amount of defending on this forum to the uninformed but on other watch forums it's Rolex that needs more defending.....seiko has some of the the most fanatical followers, they don't need any defending. You either get it or you don't, no big deal.
