I think I've been lucky, since I find my SubC very comfortable... even with arthritis nodules on my left wrist!
Hope you find something that fits you.

My 16610 sub is very comfy. Love it. Can't wait to try on the new model.

I also found that to be true with the Sub C. The problem that I found was with the height of the caseback, making the lugs stick up on my wrist.
One reason that I chose the GMT IIC over the Sub C is that it's more comfortable though I wouldn't mind having the glidelock clasp. I've had issues with buying a watch without trying it on, and several times I had to flip it because it didn't fit properly. My buying philosophy is that any watch over a couple of hundred dollars must be tried on first before ordering it. Try the GMT for comparison.

I couldn't get comfortable with a Sub-C at the AD...I'm wearing a 36mm Turn-O-Graph now. I went ahead and bought an inexpensive dive watch to rotate in and see if the extra bulk was an issue during day-to-day wear. If I get comfortable with it, then I'll look for a Sub. Based on the conversation, I may prefer an older Sub to the Sub-C.

I was uncomfortable at first, as I was not sure I had the links and glide lock set properly. But once I found the right proportion of links to the glide system it fits great. So nice that I leave the oyster bracelet on even though I would like to wear it with a black nato.

I am probably a freak as I am right handed but wear my watch on my right arm. Therefore I do not have the problem described. The crown points away from my hand.
