Well said Bill. I get offended by people that are offended.

But it's a watch forum and if I want to discuss/read about a taboo subject I just go somewhere else and I don't blame TRF. Just like when I want a steak, I don't go to Starbucks and get mad at them for not allowing me to order it with my coffee.

Marc, I'll have to agree with you on that one. I haven't posted in this thread but have been reading it and although I cannot say I agree with everything that has been written here I can certainly say that I'm glad everything went well and everybody remained calm and respectful. I don't usually want to over congratulate everybody for nothing but I think this thread shows that we all know how to have a real debate (even on a touchy subject) without falling into fallacies and insults. It's too bad we cannot do this all the time with all the subjects (isn't this why we have forbidden subjects and rules? I agree with those and have been fine with them ever since I joined but clearly this is not the opinion of everybody) but I guess sometimes forbidding something is the only option we have left.

Mmmm...steak and Starbucks.

I'm ok with the rules since it allows the mods to easily show the trolls and inconsiderate people the door. I understand if some people don't agree with them but it seems to keep this forum a respectful place so I find it tough to argue. Thanks mods!
