Wow old thread! Since it is open both work for me. Love YG, WG and Platinum of course. As for old YG sub or WG Sub....Hmmm hard to beat WG sub.

My rule, after much deliberation- rose or yellow is ok on a strap. For solid bracelets, WG. Those who "know" will understand. Why call attention to yourself otherwise, this is supposed to be for your individual satisfaction, not the reaction of others. Also, no matter where you live, flashing heavily gold watches can be hazardous- make you a mugging target. The world is getting only more dangerous.

But most of us do not run into rolex fans on a daily basis That's why we spend so much time here I recall a WG sub owner telling us on RF not long ago that some fool tried calling him out from the back seat of his own vehicle "that is not real...subs do not come in all blue"

Also seriously, why bother about what people think??? (not in a bad way..please) I am sure it's not just BLUEY....some people (dont know if they are jealous or what) will sometime just assume other ROLEX fakes (the fact is Rolex is the most copied watch anyway).

Obviously there is nothing best than to try it out yourself (people have different taste...as you can see from the above). For me (IMHO) I just think BLUE the best sub...and that WG is just a perfect match in heaven...just look classy and modern

I agree that it is completely irrelevant what others think. In most social situations where some fool notices my watch, I would rather he thinks it is fake. Better than him getting any stupid ideas. I should have been more clear, I just found that story hilarious. I would love a blue WG sub! Damn google, snitching out all the stealth wealth'ers with their beautiful gold subs
