A lot of people like to fly under the radar, myself included. I'd have to guess that a SS Sub gets noticed more than a WG one does

I find that a lot of watches with diamond markers (and even diamond dials or bezels at times) look very nice, however, I must admit I still prefer the Submariner without diamonds. To me it just looks nicer.

To me diamonds are definitely a girl's best friend but that doesn't mean a guy cannot have some diamonds on their watches as long as it's done tastefully. And I find a subtle touch of diamonds on the markers add a touch of class and luxury to a watch, even a sports watch. Tom's WG Sub and Ken's platy DD are two such examples. Very fine taste, gentlemen!

I have to go with the overall consensus and say no on the diamonds especially if you are going to wear it daily. Actually no matter how often you wear it or for what occasion I still say no on diamonds on a men's watch.

Many people like nice things, but do not want to flaunt them. WG/Platinum let you have a precious metal without the flash of yellow gold.

It depends on the dial color. IMO the White Gold Sub needs nothing else.

On the WG Sub, I would not like to have them. Other models, maybe

I had the opportunity to try both versions of the WG Sub on in Las Vegas last summer and I was surprised how much I like the diamond dial. It is very subtle and I did not find it to be flashy or "over-the-top" at all.
The only thing that I am not sure that I like (which I am not sure has been mentioned or not) is the fact that the diamond dial has a thin silver frame around the date aperture. I would prefer that it didn't. Other than that, the diamond bezel looks great!

Not for me but of course you have to go with what makes you happy. I think the WG Sub makes enough of a statement. Just my opinion.

Diamond dial look simply elegant. If you can then you should ...I have both President with MOP diamond dial and Daytona diamond dial and never had so many compilments.

Ooh dear! The diamonds look absolutely appalling! I don't like them, and certainly not on a men's watch.

I personally love diamond dials. I think they look great on the Day Date and Submariner.
