Sounds like a nasty spill. Glad you're on the mend - and glad you took your watch off first. I hit a patch of ice on my in-laws' front porch on Christmas Eve. Landed right on my a--. Without missing a beat, the first thing out of my wife's mouth was: "Is your watch ok?"

Jeez, Ron. Take care of yourself, and pay a handyman. I had to help nurse my old boy through a broken pelvis from a similar incident. Could so easily have been worse!

Thanks for all the comments and best wishes. Must say I've been overwhelmed by the number of responses. The TRF family is the best.

I thought the story was going to go something like, "as I was falling, all I could think of was protecting my Rolex, so I thrust my watch arm into the sky and prepared for impact.."

I certainly agree with that. Glad to know you are doing better. I was a bit overwhelmed at the well wishes I received in regards to my own situation and I'm a newcomer to this place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Isn't there an old story about a Scottsman who had a bottle in his coat? After taking a fall an feeling the wet said, "I hope it's blood."

Haha this should inspire the "Craziest Moment your Rolex has ever Endured" thread...
Reminds me of the time just before Christmas2013 that I blacked out drinking with my Rolex on. When i came to, i was in a pitch black room and had no idea where i was so i freaked out and just started destroying everything around me. Long story short i was in my attic, got out and found my watch laying on my bedroom dresser, same spot i put it every night. Moral of the story is, no matter how drunk i get i always respect the Rolex. |
