If you have a "M" series Daytona, it should have both....Your Dealer is giving you some bad information....

AFAIK the only current model without the LEC is the GV Milgauss.

OMG........ it is crazy small and almost impossible to see. I too a blue light and shinned it completely perpendicular to it. It is honestly barely visible with the white background. Definitely not visible by naked eye. Definitely not..
Thanks all of you, would have never found it. That was the last thing that puzzled me about this watch. Feel soo relieved now. |

i found my LEC. Used a flashlight and it took me a minute or so. now that I found it once, it only takes me a second under the right lighting conditions. thanks everyone.

It is very hard to see in date just with MOP and diamond dial.
My sports rolexes's are easy to spot. We just go the 31mm DJ with MOP diamond dial. it wasn't until just now, at night with a flash that we were able to see the crown. even under bright light or using flash earlier we couldn't see the LEC.

This the best image I have ever taken of the LEC (I'm kind of a freak like that) on my GMT. |

An LED flashlight is a real help in spotting the LEC.

Finding and Photographing it can be tricky......but with perseverance it can be done
It is, however, truly all about the light!!

I finally found it using my phone's camera with the flash 'on' taken in a totally dark room. Came out great in the photo. I was getting a little concerned until I found a way to find it, but there it was in all its glory......................
