I'm voting LVc to give you a little splash of color, but most importantly I think it will be a more comfortable watch for you with your wrists. I have skinny wrists, too, and understand what it's like trying to get the right fit. No wrong decision here, however, as both are really great pieces.
That said, I feel compelled to say this: please don't discount the Daytona b/c it doesn't have the glidelock. It is probably the most comfortable watch I've ever owned. Now if you don't like the way it looks on your wrist, or the legibility, or the lack of date, or any of the other things the Daytona haters always complain about, that's one thing, but the lack of glidelock should not be a determining factor for you. Just my two cents. Good luck with your decision and keep us posted. |

What about selling the SubC Date and then buying the LVc and SDc?
Then your collection would be: -SubC (no date diver) -SubC LVc (green so they're not all black bezel divers) -SDc (what may the the ultimate diver in the current Rolex lineup) |

I'm sure that makes sense and the huge majority here would do something like that, but collecting watches doesn't always make sense and I would never be happy if I had to sell any of my Subs. In fact Im wearing both right now as I type. Alright, that is ridiculous, but Im at home and my wife is a great girl :)

Another vote for LVc. I was ready to go SDc, but I decided that I didn't need two black divers or three black Rolexes. I went LVc for some color.
I can see myself adding the SDc, at some point in the future.

I vote LVc but in reality I like Chris' idea. Dump the black Subs and get the LVc and SDc. Instant winning combo.....
...orrrrr, Flip the black Sub Date for the LVc and add the SDc, a way better three combo. The original Sub, an LVc, and a SDc. The End! |

Go with the LVc and the SDc or do what I did - LVc and DeepC!

So far 56 x 50. Quite impressive. Two great competitors and here's a proof of that.

Thanks guys. I'll have some months to decide and wait to see more reasonable prices on the SD-C. When the time comes I have this thread to visit again and consider every opinion shared here. Awesome crowd. Thanks.

Unfortunately, I think it will be quite a while before we can expect reasonable prices for the 116600. Look at the BLNR. It's been out for a while and the prices are still high. Maybe this will make the decision process easier for you (i.e., going with the LVC).

Sorry, I assumed you were planning on buying a used one. By Christmas, I'm sure they will be easier to find so getting one at MRSP should not be a problem. I don't know how things work in Amsterdam, but in the US, I'm sure you won't be able to negotiate a discount at an AD. Since you (I'm assuming?) don't live in Amsterdam, maybe you can get a VAT refund.

Add LV now...
Then add SDC when/if it can be am little less expensive... As you wait to add the SDC find out which of the 3 divers you like best (for me it would be LVC) Trade one of the current black divers into the SDC. Then you end up with a killer diver collection!!! |
