I've been thinking of going to these for my next pair. Had them many years ago when it was a new thing but back then anyway they never went back to completely clear indoors, there was always a slight but noticeable tint. Have they gotten better in this regard?

The lenses I have (by Zeiss I think?) do turn back to being all clear. It takes about a minute or so when walking inside from the outdoors. However, they weren't cheap though—at $450 almost the same price as the frames—but for me it was worth it and I recommend them to all my fellow four-eyed friends

Maui Jim all the way. Been through many, many "high end" sunglesses over the years and MJ is by far the best I've come across to date. They're especially good if you get the Italian made ones with glass lenses.

what sunglasses do you wear with your rolex

Maui Jim Spartan Reef are what I grab for first. I have 3 pairs of ray ban aviators (their glass is not what it used to be since luxottica bought them), a pair of WileyX Lanterns and a pair of matte black ray ban wayfarers.

That would depend on what I am doing as I have multiple pairs of glasses just like multiple watches

I really like the Cartier Santos. I have several pairs of Cartier and a couple of old 1980's Porsche Design.

Thanks, I'll check into these. I've had Zeiss lenses before and liked them a lot, but not the "transition" kind. The price you mentioned doesn't sound bad at all, especially considering I wouldn't need to buy 2 pairs of clip-ons, and those aren't cheap either. The main thing is that I really want them to go back to completely clear indoors.

I assume the Zeiss block 100% UVA and UVB like the Transitions brand does, correct?

Oh boy, that I unfortunately don't have an answer to
Probably best to consult your optician on that, but this is what I have in my glasses:

Thanks, according to that they do offer 100% UV protection - a must from any sunglasses.

I'll check into them. Though it does appear they retain a slight tint indoors I can handle a little bit. But the first gen of self-tinted lenses just didn't clear up enough for me.

Because if they're going for the male model/movie star look, it's tough to pull off unless you are one.
imo sunglasses on create distance, so it can say "i don't want to be bothered". though all too often when i see it the message is more like "i'm so famous (or trying to be)"

top of the head... yeah that's a clash. it's like "i wanna be noticed but really i'm not anyone"

I won't talk to people with sunglasses on indoors. I'll actively ignore them. If they're going to act like childish in public, then I will too.

I've worn my Costas longer than I've had Rolexes. Love them both.
