the new SD...not my type of watch (that leads me to love my "old" one even more) ;)

Thanks Jocke
I like your comment about Rolex being like new cars. It may take awhile to get used to the new design. I have often had the same thought. I remember when Porsche came out with the 911 in 1965. It was of course to replace the venerable 356. Many officianados called the new 911 the "Clownmaster". The 911 remains an ICON today more than 40 years later. Mrdi |

Thanks for your excellent report and pics, Jocke.
Looks like there's the usual disappointment from Rolex.....and, like I said, the TT GMT-IIC seems to be the best model to come out of from them in recent times. JJ

What more can I say but "WOW". I'm probaly going to be looking at this post for the next year. I agree with everything you said, EXCEPT, I like what Rolex did with the Deep Sea. The changes to the Deep Sea really seperate it from the Sub now.

Thanks Jocke. Another great report. Did you see anything else (non-Rolex, non-GO) that caught your eye?
What about this? I was wondering if it was the lighting or not. Is it an SS or YG? |

Excellent tour Jocke. Looks like you have confirmed that the colour of the Blue on the new Sub is as bad in person as it looks in the photos. Thanks for all the time and effort to give us a taste of Basel.

Thanks for the report and pics, Jocke. I say to hell with some of the ugly new Rollie designs, give me a couple of the Glashutte's! Those are some sweet timepieces.
