Other than a Mont Blanc in my shirt pocket that's about it.

The only other "luxury" item I own are some Oliver Peoples sunglasses. I wouldn't want to walk around looking like some CS, or Brad Pitt.

I like to combine my Rolex with other good quality items. I have a policy on not buying anything made in China, or any other country that does not pay fair wages. My jeans are all Italian and American, my T-Shirts are American, shoes are Italian, and my pen is a Parker, American made, and relatively low cost too. I dont buy because of the price, I buy because of quality and morals only. Most of my friends do not realize that I'm spending $300+ on a pair of jeans, and I like it that way, nor do they realize that the black/silver thing on my wrist is a Rolex Submariner.

We should not confuse "luxury" with "quality". I suggest that anything that has a brand, looks nice but doesn't work any better than the K-Mart version is just "luxury". Anything that works in a demonstrably more reliable, accurate, rugged (etc) way is "quality". While many things can be both, it is certainly possible to be one and not the other.

A few examples (IMHO only!):

Rolex = both
Louis Vuitton wallet = both
Mont Blanc = luxury (mine leaked, even after servicing)
Prada sunglasses = luxury

What else?

Treat, ya gotta let go of the whole HK thing.

Anyhoo, isn't the P7 huge (bigger than a 1911), or am I confusing it with the new US Military sidearm?

fair wages = that is very subjective. if it is not fair in the mind of the worker, then he/she will not be working there..
last time i was in states, i remembered seeing so many clothings, etc.. made in mexico and especially china that i thought i was back in asia..

You are thinking of the MP7.

P7 is a classic, ultra slimline handgun.

CMR had it right. I was thinking of the USP. Shooting is a hobby I've had to give up since moving to Australia in 1996. I'm a bit out of touch.

Yes the P7 is a great little gun. Perhaps more complicated than it needs to be? I'd choose a Glock G36 if I wanted a really small pistol. Now there's the perfect example of something having real quality, but no bling branding.

I actually find the P7 to be the definition of simplicity.

I prefer my P6 when wearing my Rolexes. After all, at least the Sig Sauer is a colaboration between Swiss and German firms.
(P6 is the German police service pistol exactly like a Sig Sauer P225). Who mentioned the MP5?

Make mine the K model...

The H&K is a great gun on it's own, but I never could get the hang of the P7M13 squeeze cocker. The P7M8, might be a different matter, but they all get pretty hot when actually shooting them.

My tastes are quite simple: I only accessorize with my wedding band, a thin gold chain, my college ring for special occasions, and my H&K USP.45 Compact. Ray-Ban sunglasses. Kershaw and Victronox pocket knives. And my Sub, of course!!!

Good point,
My Jeans are usually Diesels, which are made in Italy, with material from Italy, my other jeans, from an american company, Seven's, are American made from American material.
My phone is an Iphone, I've yet to find an American, or Eurpoean made phone.
T-Shirts are Ed Hardy, Made in the USA, and they'll last forever. I personally would never buy from Gap while I understand that it's not an option for everyone, I like to take advantage of the option that I have, and do the right thing.

I have a Two-tone Rolex and a Monte Blanc pencil. I bought the pencil about 13 years ago when they were not the outlandish prices they demand today. I wear my watch with my Walmart shirts, Walmart jeans and discount store shoes, just about all the time. I won't wear any brands - don't like badges on my stuff and don't see the value.
