Hey everyone. It has been about 10 years since I posted about my stolen Rolex collection. 2 weeks ago, I got a call from the law firm that is representing Rolex, one of the report stolen Rolex watches is being held by Rolex. The watch went into RSC for service. The law firm gave me the info of the person whom bought the Rolex into service. I engaged an attorney to represent me to have initial contact with Rolex. Yesterday, my attorney notified me that the person had release the right of this stolen Rolex back to his seller.

I’m sure that the seller will try to fight for the rightful ownership of this watch. It is amazing how Rolex keeps track of the report stolen watches in the data base. I had report to the police and got a police report, filed to Rolex, and post the serial number here.

I can’t believe that the 10 years had passed by, and I can reunited with my watch. When it was stolen, it was brand new with all the stickers on it.

I wonder what condition it is in. Congrats on getting it back.

That is good news. Hopefully, you will prevail against the seller of your watch. You should.

need help to look for the thief who stole my rolex

Congrats! This is interesting. Who knows how many times it has changed hands in 10 years? There’s probably a lot to this story, yet to be told.

Wow good luck with getting it back.

But why isn’t it just sent back to you, the rightful owner

From what my attorney told me, the seller hired an attorney. Who knows what the seller want to do.

As for the condition, it must be bad. Otherwise, it will not go back to RSC.

That is why I only purchase from AD. Peace of my mind!

That is great news about the recovery.
I know the feeling well.

Lost my Platona to burglars in 2017.
Seized by UK RSC 4 years later in 2021.

Much luck in your upcoming process to get it back free and clear.

You are not the original poster, you have a different name and join date. You joined five years after the original, he in 2012 and you in 2017.

Yes - the process took a couple of months plus help from a TRF member and the dealers who were stuck in the middle.

Plus, getting it from UK to US was interesting. But Rolex folks were stellar

Ok I got it now. So, i joined Rolex forum back to 2012 and the burglary happened in 2014. I lost the email access associated with the log in and couldn’t reset my password. So, I have to create a new profile.

Is this clear for your understanding?

So you have two accounts? And you lost your email? And we’re talking stolen watches and you come back ten years later? Seems very strange and not clear for me.

Tom - chill out please.

I lost 5 laptops in my burglary as well as 4 Rolexes. Some email addys were lost too because the thieves had my data.

This is the same guy unless you have forensic data showing otherwise.

Forensic data no I don’t. I noticed the difference and it seemed very unusual and we’re talking about crimes and it appears suspicious to me.

So if what you say is true, passwords and emails stolen during break in then how come he was able to tell about it in the beginning? He would have had to make a second account in 2014, not so?

Imagine the other stolen watches start showing up. That will be amazing. Realistically, I expect the watch is in really bad conditions. Otherwise, it won’t go back to RSC. All I hope is that RSC can help me to restore it to good condition.

It was a horrible experience. But don’t give up. Maybe one your watch will show up and you will get it back. I already gave up the hope since it has been 10 yrs.

I’m curious which Rolex you got back.

I’m also curious why you need to hire a lawyer to represent you?

Just asking out of curiosity.

Thanks

I’ve had this one for so long it is hard to recall. I prolly would have used my first 911 - a 1976 Targa.

Maybe later there was an OS update on his device, or got a new one and had to re-log back in. I couldn't tell you my log in for a throw away account from a decade ago. Not everything is a conspiracy, Tom.

I have not get the watch back yet. The other has not release the watch back to me.

The process is that RSC will hold on to the timepiece until one side release the right to the timepiece. In this case, I’m claiming my stolen watch while the other party is claiming that they own it.

As for which one out of the many stolen watches, I will not disclose it yet. I will keep it update to the community. When I get it back, I will post it up. The serial numbers has been posted up to the Internet since 2014 already.

What is the lawyer costing and why do you need one?
