Love the clasp! Not new though. It's been on the current gen Pelagos. I don't own one (yet!), but playing with it is fantastic. I'm sure some of the current owners could chime in about longevity, but I've been following this watch since it was released and I don't think I've ever read about a clasp failure

Yeah, reading that dimmed my excitement somewhat, until I hear more anyway. If it's like those brand-exclusive movements ETA makes for Hamilton, etc, it's not quite the same thing.

ETA movement 2-line Pelagos will not be made anymore and would have benefited from a limited production run. 2 to 3 years at most. We all know how the WIS community works and the desire for exclusivity/uniqueness.

I'm not saying that the ETA Pelagos will ever be exclusive or appreciate significantly in value but I certainly don't think that it will depreciate because of the new In-house.

Plus the extra lines on the dial don't work for me - dare I say a bit busy, so I'll happily stick with my 'old skool' Pelagos

When you look at the dial without any bias- that 5 lines is really distracting.

They should have done away with Self-winding Rotor line as that would suit the Heritage models more, not with modern Tudors.

Liking it a lot! Needed something "blue" to compete with the D-Blue for some wrist time. Maybe with those two, I'll be able to keep myself amused until I can manage to spring for a 40MM DD with the beautiful new blue dial. I think I'd then be quite happy with my "Blue Trifecta"

It's not a new clasp. The springs should last for years.

^This. Get rid of that self-winding bullshit, we all know it's an automatic. That's like car manufacturers in the 80s and 90s would put badges on the back indicating it had ABS.

The addition of an in-house movement definitely helps the brand. That's definitely one of the highest critiques of the Tudor brand. Although I would've been complacent with a 2892... Hopefully they don't raise the prices too much.

Now all we need is a chronometer Black Bay.

I'll admit it, the lack of in-house movement is what kept me from buying a Tudor in the past. I have no excuses now!
