Who are the Rolex dealers in the Cleveland area now? Cowell and Hubbard still around?
What a small world. I live in Willoughby, have lived here all my life.

The two Rolex dealers in town are Alson Jewelers on Chagrin Blvd. in Beachwood and Kleinhenz Jewelers on Detroit Ave. in Westlake.

Not familiar with Cowell and Hubbard, but after a quick google search, it appears to be a restaurant downtown on Euclid Ave. still in action.

Cowell and Hubbard was an AD years ago. I think Halle's also sold Rolex.
I was in the last class to graduate from Willoughby Union High School. Jr. high was Browning. We had our h.s. graduation at Willoughby North and the paint was still damp in the hall - smelly.
I lived on Timberline Dr. off SOM.

There is a nagging in the back of my mind for that blue dial DJII, just gorgeous. I want something in between my 36mm OP and BLNR, the plan was a no date SubC but your DJ hss piqued my curiosity.

You posted on my first thread sharing your story and it really helped me thanks to you.
(Getting a 36mm datejust after waiting and saving up more money.)

So happy for you friend!

The DJII would fit nicely into your existing collection! Interestingly enough, I'm leaning towards a BLNR or a TT sub for my next move after the Blue Pelagos. Great minds think alike

Thanks! At 17 lbs, there's not much little about the little bugger (gray one). The calico is a bit more dainty.

Thank you, Ryan! I recall your post, and am very happy that my advice was helpful to you. I am also very happy that you found "the one". Congrats on your new DJ! I hope you enjoy it for many years to come. Congrats also on the wedding.

Thanks again to everyone else for the kind words. Still head over heels with this beauty.

What a great thread. Congrats on your dream watch. I am like you were, constantly on the verge of pulling the trigger then snapping back to reality. Well the reality is that I can afford a Rolex, lol. But its still a big purchase for me and one that I wont take lightly.

With the price of oil tanking and the oil patch slowing, maybe Ill wait until I get my next job lined up to take the plunge.. until then I am like a shark circling the boat while all these threads keep chumming the water.

my time is coming...

Beautiful watch and great story, congratulations. Even if you never buy another one you've got a cracker there! There are thousands of people out there who can attest to the ruggedness of a DJ as a go anywhere do anything watch.

Hi Andrew. Now that you've had that beautiful blue dial DJII for four months I'm curious what your lasting impressions are of the watch, specifically the dial color. I ask because I'm seriously considering either the white or blue dial DJ or DJII for my 65th birthday watch in April (http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=428467).
