Anyone going to buy the Apple Watch??

Tried one on yesterday. I forgot to take a wrist shot while I had it on. I must admit that while I wasn't too excited about it I could see how it could be useful especially at the gym where keep accidentally leaving my phone on the equipment. The apple guy said you can leave your phone in your locker and access it via watch, I forgot to ask how far can you separate from your phone. I'm thinking if my wife wants one I'll get her one and I'll use it once in a while since the 38mm is a better fit for me.

Nice, I am just upset with the long wait to get one. I do not mind trying one out!

Beyonce and Kim Kardashian are somehow already wearing YG versions. I suppose it's because they are better than everyone else.

Early reviews don't sound too good.

Love Apple… but… Macbook air on the desk (or on my lap) in front of me, iPhone in my pocket, Rolex (or AP) on my wrist.

I purchased one. I think it will be a unique piece in my collection. Will it ever replace my Rolex as primary wrist time? Probably not. The only thing that can do that is an AP or Patek imo.

The only issue is their ludicrous backorder until June.

Of course.......only the snobs on these type of sites would say no without even trying. It doesn't replace the beautiful watches we all love.........its just an addition to our collections

I really wanted to like it. It seemed so clever. However the fact it needs to be tethered to an iPhone is just plain silly. The daily activity tracker is ridiculous too. Common sense should tell me if I'm unfit, not a device. The screen is a bit underwhelming too.
Yay! for once I make the decision to step off the Apple-waggon.

... Mind you, Mickey Mouse arms! That's pretty cool.

I wanted to get one, but a bit hesitant. I think the reviews have been mediocre, and while it's not expensive for a watch, it's still pretty expensive for a piece of electronics. We'll see if I break down and buy it, but right now I'm going to try and hold off for v2. Feels like v1 of most of apple products are average, but the v2 get a lot of the kinks worked out.

I'm about to break down and just buy it.

Cute, but impractical. Battery lasts about 18 hours and to pair it with a smart phone requires an iPhone. I rejected the iPhone years ago, selected Droid instead and never had a reason to change. I'm not so self-involved that I need that much organization in my life and I don't do trendy. I stuck with mechanical watches during the "quartz crisis" and I'll stick with them through the "smart watch non-crisis". I'd still be carrying a sandglass if jeans came with bigger pockets.

Besides, it's fun being curmudgeon and neo-Luddite. Hand me another sabot, please.

Na, just looked at the web site, looks like 3 model ranges, $350 - $400, $550 - $600, and $10000 - $12000. you need an I phone, obsolete in 12 month, most people seem to have a smartphone in their hand 24/7, is it worth the cost to look two inches farther down your arm?

I've ordered a Sport model out of interest more than anything. If I don't like it I'm sure on of my kids will take it off my hands

worth less than half the value as soon as walk out the store, like a car?
ill stick to mechanical that hold or in some cases increase in value and will not be obsolete when i want to give to my children

haha, I went to go look at it over the weekend, but still not too sold on it. Felt great, but doubt I would use too many of the features. Mostly would be a notification tool, which I'll admit, I could use for work since I'm not great at hearing my phone or checking all my emails, but would probably get annoying any other time of day.
