The price of ss daytonas rose fast-list went from $6075 in November 2003 to $9925 in October 2008 I guess to more closely match the price in the secondary market. Price and demand are more in line now-up only $2100 in the last 7 years.

Precisely. That's how I found my 5711. Called all the ADs in between the coasts and major metros.

Not hard to find at all maybe 10-15 years ago.
I guess they are no longer desirable, it was my grail watch until I owned one and realized that it wears small under today's standards.

This is not a myth. In Canada you won't find any Daytona unless you have a great relationship with the AD.
