Please tell me you're joking. What I assume is a grown man is worrying about smudges on his watch...get a grip dude.

One scratch = end of the world.
Two scratches = annoyance.
Many scratches = "what scratches?"

While I try to avoid scratching my watches by having good wrist awareness it doesn't bother me when I get them. I have tons of them at this stage. They are unavoidable so you should start to get used to them otherwise you will never fully enjoy your watch.
I would stay well away from cape cod cloths

I have OCD big time! Water in the kitchen sink? No. Drink on my coffee table without a coaster? Not gonna' happen. Little fork in the cubby where the big forks go? Oh the horror! But with watches, I'm just the opposite. They're meant to be worn and as such, will develop "character" - don't obsess over scratches. Enjoy the journey and keep those bathroom hand towels neatly folded.

Anybody on here have OCD?

I clean my watch every week with an old soft toothbrush and soap. I keep taking away finger prints from the crystal and bezel. I think I am quite careful about it.

But I wear it all the time, take shower, go fishing, service my Jetski, just anything.

That's the point with a high end tool watch. It can withstand almost anything.

Scratches I don't mind, it's the greasy fingerprints that drive me insane.

This is why I prefer brushed links over PCL's. I do have some OCD & the scratches on PCL's drives me crazy. No PCL's for me, If I like the watch & it has PCL's I'll brush them out.

Scratches on the bracelet and clasp would bother me a heck of a lot less than if they were on the watch case or bezel.

After you get your first few scratches (it is inevitable...), you won't be OCD anymore...

At some point soon, you will see someone in the distance with a Rollie on, with PCLs, and the watch will 'look' amazing. Then you'll talk to them and see it's not perfect. It's the whole package that makes the look of the watch, not just if it has scratches or not... When service time comes around, it'll be back to near perfect, just try and enjoy it! Just avoid the partners engagement ring touching the glass, I've had 2 scratched now, and that bugs you!!

Donīt mind scratches. My retired(for now) Sub is a mess and I love it that way, but any tiny foreign object on the dial visible with sunlight is a nono for me. To each his own I guess.
