Did a quick search in the for sale section here on TRF. Looks like 16610LVs are going between $7,000 and $8,000.

Don't understand why they're so expensive in Japan. Hope whoever bought then was able to negotiate the price down.

Those were expensive because they are Ys with all the trimmings. Box, papers etc. The Japanese are very knowledgeable about Rolex and a collector here will know and seek these out. Super WISs here.

That being said a used LV not a Y or an early F in a grey here will run you about 920,000 Yen plus. About $8200.
