Quit using good sense on JJ, Fransie. He doesn't get it. The same guy that talks about how cool Bond is, rags on his choice of watch band.

I have never worn a NATO personally, but I do appreciate the military background and think they make that baby look rugged and dare I say, less ordinary.

Less common then the standard Sub you mean? Less "everyone and my third distant cousin has one" you mean? I can relate to that, makes sense

Not in a bad way Fransie, I really do dig the 16610 alot. I think it is nice to change up your look every now and then. Like you said, open your mind.

I like the NATO on a 5513. I think that's where it looks the best.

I've been thinking about this alot and I've come to a conclusion.

The one thing I don't like in a watch is when you shake it and it makes bizarre, metalic-type jingling noises.

Nope, I don't like that in a watch at all. LOL

Honestly, guys, I cannot for the life of me understand what you fellas find so attractive in that cheap 12-dollar Nato strap? I can understand if it's something really classy and outstanding.

Hell, it's just some cheap striped cotton band replacing a superbly crafted SS 904L steel bracelet. How can you even begin to compare the two?

I've given you my analogy of a Ferrari car and its original wheels - would you replace them with some locally produced alloys?

But, hey, like all of you, I'm just expressing what I feel. Some guys here don't like ORANGE and are quite open about it, some fellas don't like Crosswinds and haven't hidden their feelings either and some fellas don't like Pannies and have bashed them openly.

If these guys have a right to dislike high-end expensive watches, I think my dislike for a 12-dollar POS is well and truly justified!!

JJ

You know, the NATO band does have its uses - whenever I travel abroad, or visit somewhere a little rough I stick my 16610 on a black NATO, and it makes the watch pretty much unrecognisable. Oh, and by the way JJ they're nylon not cotton - real classy!!!
