Just happened to me yesterday. I got all the way to my car and missed my watch. I was running a bit late, but knew if I didn't go back and get my watch my day would be "off".

I am a technician at a auto dealership, and do alot of diesel and eletrical work. The reason for not wearing them is because it is a safety hazard to work near anything electrical wearing conductive metal bracelets, rings, ect, but mostly because my rollies would get destroyed. I just could'nt have that!!!
The managers could care less what we wear, I myself choose not to wear them. Plus, I have a Spongbob clock on the wall to keep track of time. Actualy, it is a SquidWard clock.
