My instant reaction was that it looks like a G-Shock. Not for me, but to each his (or her) own.

Really, really impressed. I've never liked the Fastrider but this one just pulls it all together.

It's probably gotta be pretty quiet, since Tissot is an official sponsor of MotoGP.

You know, I saw this one at the dealer recently and didn't even ask to try it on. Just something different about seeing it in person. Perhaps the dial is too complex - with the raised portions, etc. Just not for me. Surprisingly, however, I did like the Pelages in black dial. Didn't expect that at all.

Don't like watches that are tied to other brands. But this one looks very nice with the subtle branding.

Nice! I like the black with red model..

Wonder will it look better with black steel strap?

Looks cool but just doesn't speak to me. I want to see a Tudor chrono with their Black Bay design language...

A nice watch, but to me, it's not a compelling buy.

The BBB on the other hand....

I think it's a nice watch. I'm expecting a call from my AD today to see if one is coming in. From the sound of it, it may be special order only??? I would assume that a few would be shipping as if it was special order only they're will probably be very minimal sales unless they advertise the hell out of it in the AD and on billboards. Not many people outside of WIS and maybe diehard Tudor and Ducati fans would even know that this is out. Seems like this one is very mixed feelings and probably stems from the Fast Rider / Black Shield design itself and not the color change. The Black Bay Black was very well received and that was only a color change on the bezel.

I'd really like a mechanical chronograph, and since Daytonas are out of my league (plus, according to a watchmaker friend of mine, are not worth the money), a far more modestly priced Tudor chrono would seem to be a good answer. The snag for me, at least, is that 42mm looks just too large for my wrist. Also, as much as I like this new model, the dial is just too busy for my taste. I also agree with the concern aired earlier about the name "Black Shield"... urgh! Of course, the usual truth applies - it's impossible to know either way until I've actually tried one on.

That said, I'm in agreement with y'all in that Tudor really do seem on top form lately. Exciting times...

I really want to see this one in person, it could make me reach for my wallet...even with it suffering from a 4:30 date.

That would be correct. I used to ride, and I used to want a Ducati Monster really (REALLLLLLLY) bad. I always dug the naked bikes. Unfortunately the relatively short riding season up here coupled with the money it cost didn't make sense to me anymore.

So how well does that ceramic surface wear? Does it get scratched up?

I had a ceramic IWC before and it looked the the same the day I bought it and the day I sold it. However the pushers on the Black Shield look to be PVD coated which may eventually wear.

First time a Tudor has blown my skirt up. I really like it and I'm tempted, very tempted indeed.

I spent my nickles on two recent Tudors which weren't from the Heritage collection one of which was a chronograph. I recently saw a brown accented Black Shield on ebay selling for low with Alcantara strap but with a fogging issue. That didn't sound good to me. However maybe sometime at the right price.

For now, I like my Chrono more...

and it's side kick Date tickles my fancy as well...
