Nogmaals gefeliciteerd !

I go through Schiphol weekly and have never seen a BLNR in the Gassan shops. Great buy.

Icon10 The missing BLNR...

Hahah, wow! Seems I was lucky indeed! Had been looking for the BLNR in AMS for over 6 months and even that day walked through to see an almost empty showcase... Had a few hours to kill and passed by again to find them unpacking the new stock. The guy behind the counter new well what I was after and waved a plastic covered bundle to me saying I was finally lucky . When I bought mine there was one more available at the Rolex boutique so can't have been long after that one went to one of you too. Here's a pic of its first day out in the skies where it belongs and of my flatmates next to mine, he is the one I blame for my now growing watch addiction.

Anyway went to a good home, glad to see everyone enjoying their timepieces!

Ha. The guy at the Rolex boutique did mention he thought there was another one in the airport. Looks like it's you and me mate.

Thanks for all the kind words. Loving it thus far, and it might actually somehow have cured my desire for a 16760 Fat Lady, at least temporarily.

You got a good deal ...less 21% than retail.
Rolex is sending these out with the rate of 1 every 3 months
so EU Authorised dealers tend not to discount the BLNR.

Congratulations...great pick-up and great story!

My favorite memory at Schipol happened after arriving from the US with my girlfriend, going through security to catch a flight to Barcelona. I had an engagement ring in my pocket, planning to propose to her in Spain...luckily, I they didn't catch it or I would've had to get down on my knee then and there...in the middle of security! All the while, she's standing several feet away amused by the whole incident (she had no clue).

Anyways, BLNR owner (and happily married man) here. Enjoy your new purchase!

Walked into Rolex, and to my surprise the gentleman was pulling out a bunch of watches from their plastic coffins.

"I received my delivery 30 mins ago".

I obviously asked first if he had any SS Daytonas. No dice.

But then I asked him whether he had a GMT BLNR, which is quite possibly the only modern SS Rolex I've been lusting after since my DSSD. I've however never really looked for it more than walking into stores and asking for it.

He comes out 30 seconds later, with a brand new watch. All stickers on. I shuffle around as I had no intentions of buying a watch that day. I try it on and love it. But I'm still undecided, and think about walking away.

My fiancee looks at me. Looks at the watch. And for the first time ever, encourages me to buy a watch.

And to top it all off, I got it at the tax-free price.

That's awesome! It looks great on your wrist, too.

I have stumbled into various ADs, simply inquiring about the BLNR. If they have it, I'll buy it - but I'm not going to order it or set up an appointment, etc. If it's meant to be, I'll do it. Otherwise, I'm just going to get around to stopping in the bank and making a wire transfer for one of the many mint examples to be found here.

Congrats on the new piece!

Actually I have a memory of shuffling around with two SS Daytonas at Schiphol years ago. Tax free. Didn't go for it And still regret it to this day. Haha.

I travel the last years a lot. I live in the Netherlands so I'm often on Schiphol Airport.

For years I'm looking for the BLNR or a SS Sub no date or a Bluesy but only one time I saw SS Sub no date, on Schiphol only that moment I had not the money to buy it.

I talk with the saleguys/lady's and they told me that the populair models are sold within one or two days.

The never can tel when the new delivery is coming because of safety reasons.

Also they don't know witch watches/ models rolex send to them. This are saying more dealers here in the Netherlands it is always a lotery what rolex is shipping to them.

So good luck with BLNR
