I have no love for the Daytona, but it's a beautiful timepiece. Congrats!

I hear they're even prettier once you take the stickers off! Come on, it's been a few days now...what purpose do the stickers serve, unless you intend to flip it?

Is it that obvious in pictures that the stickers are still on? I couldn't tell...then again I'm just a novice here.

My AD stated it was their policy, especially for the Daytona, to remove stickers prior to the watch leaving with their customers (flippage prevention).

If you look at the lugs, yes. I remember one member recently did a big Incoming thread, gushing about his new Daytona 500, acccepting tons of congratulatory posts, while all the while having the watch listed for sale at a big mark-up. I am NOT suggesting that the OP here has his watch for sale....it just seems odd that you'd still have the stickers on it after several days of owning and wearing the watch. That's why I pointed it out....I just don't get it.

I should have kept the other sticker to prevent it from scratching. Do you think I can re sell it now and I will pass as "new"?
You might want to star a thread asking how many people leave the stickers for a few days savoring the "New" phase. Just because you don't get it, it doesn't mean it's not normal.

Sorry to be the bearer Bad news. Your AD is wrong. You can buy whatever watch you want with the strikers on and do as you please with YOUR newly acquired piece. No matter if it's Patek... Or the steel Daytona... Or AP...Whatever. These are myths that make these watches more desirable. It's a strategy. If you belive this, then more power to you.
But I assure you, his claims are false.

Not bad news. It didn't matter to me, stickers or no stickers - I was ready to wear it out regardless. Just relaying what the AD stated its policy was.

Congrats btw! I also went with white.

Looks great. I wonder why Rolex didn't do a proper Panda. Maybe another version will come later.
