Why not wear a gold Presidential? It's the Olympics, so gold medal for the win. :). Brazil is safe, right?

first I apologize for my English, I am Brazilian I live in São Paulo I have 3 Rolex a sub 16610, explorer 16570 and datejust 116200 and can not use any on the street or in the car to be stolen or killed, here we have gangs specialized in stealing luxury watches, just have clocks because I years watches have always loved but it is very complicated to live safe in Brazil, here you die for a lot less than a watch always live in fear of being the next victim just have a good phone that you will be stolen, my three friends were murdered for much less than a watch

So very sorry for your loss, please accept my condolences.

Do you think that security will be increased for the Olympics to the point where foreign visitors will be safe or do you believe it is going to be big trouble?

in Brazil the security will always be a problem, the Olympics will have more security but I do not understand how Brazil will make these Olympics we have no structure to it, to the Brazilians is difficult to walk safely imagine tourists, I would not come to Brazil , but here also has good things but we are experiencing a critical moment of security and other things is a shame because Brazil is a beautiful country

I would leave all my watches at home. Wear flip flops, shorts, torn up tee shirt, baseball cap and call it a day. Not worth the risk IMO.

an example/video of a recent Rolex theft in Brazil...this guy gets his watch stolen right off his wrist while performing onstage!

http://www.xxlmag.com/news/2016/02/w...len-in-brazil/

lastly, a report from the US State Department (2013) regarding the lack of tourist safety in Rio de Janiero...

https://www.osac.gov/Pages/ContentRe...aspx?cid=13966

with incidents & PR like this, it's amazing anyone goes there...the Olympic Organizing Committee must have lost their marbles.
