Gshock
I have been close to buying a Grand Seiko quartz, and a Seiko quartz diver, but ended up going with an automatic Seiko diver. I have a few other cheap quartz watches I bought way before I really got into mechanical watches, but yea, they don't really see the light of day anymore. |

I have a quartz but it's needed a battery for 6 years and I never seem to get that chore done. So, in short, no.

Wife bought me a quartz Longines grand classique for our wedding day
Wearing it today - if there was a fire it's what I would rescue over my rolex despite the cash value difference |

Wearing Tissot PR100 ChronoAlarm. I have this watch for 16 years already and feel sentimental value to it. Also, I wear Tissot when I am in places where I am not 100% regarding safety (e.g. my visit to Manila).

My 1st "real watch" i bought was this Cartier Chronoscaph 21. Quartz movement. I bought this about 11yrs ago. Recently had it serviced with new bezel and new bracelet. Like new now. Now 4 Rolexes later this Cartier still holds a special place in my heart. And i still do wear it from time to time.

Rolex owners: Do you ever wear Quartz?
I have a SQ award watch made by Seiko that my Company gave me. Before I started down this road with Rolex, it was my daily wristwatch. I also had an Omega Automatic which was my only Swiss watch for 30 years until my first Rolex.
Except for battery issues, the SQ never failed - has never been serviced in 25 years - and is the lightest watch I still have. Maybe one day I'll find an OQ DJ... But I'd also add the Apple Watch to your question since it has a crystal temperature-control oscillator. Its job is to manage the vagaries of extreme temperatures, to compensate for drift and keep the Apple Watch time-accurate. Although it's usually operating in a paired mode with an iPhone - as a piece of hardware when not paired it's far more accurate as a timekeeping device than the iPhone. It's actually four times better. So yes many of us wear Apple Watch!

I just got this as a weird addition to my collection. Reissue Seiko Guigiaro-designed Quartz Chrono. I believe the originals were the first analog Quartz Chrono and very collectible. They only made 3,000 of these, black and silver. Silver is already sold out and selling for 2x MSRP. This is also known as the "Alien" watch, as the entire crew in that late 70's movie wore a version of Guigiaro Seiko, but Ripley wore this one in silver, so it's the most desirable. Very oddly cool piece and a must-have if you're into Italian sports cars of the era, many of which Guigiaro designed.

for electronic watch, only G-shock is comparable to Rolex in terms of stylish.
Maybe add 1 more android watch. |

I've had a few Quartz here and there. Now that, for the third time, I found a birth year 17000, never letting it go
Quartz has their place for sure Jeez!!! Sorry about that pic. On mobile and no frame adjustment Wow LOL |

I own a bunch of Casio quartz watches and a couple of other European made quartzes which I haven't worn in years. They all need batteries which I haven't bothered to get. This is my newest quartz acquisition but I've only worn it once.

Luminox is my only non-Rolex watch. It's comfortable on a Velcro strap and if I tear it up, it's a couple of hundred dollars to replace should I choose to do so.

This is my favourite Quartz but I also have a great Timex Expedition and a nice Rotary moon phase. I do like to just grab a watch and not have to set it, once in a while.

Yes, I quite like my Quartz watches, they complement my Sub quite well. (IMHO)

This touches on something I have been pondering. My main watches are a SD 4000 and a Grand Seiko Spring drive. The GS is very seductive, not least because my sample is accurate to less than a second a month, and yet still feels very 'mechanical.' You can see the complex mechanism from the open back.
My ideal watch would be a SD4000 with a spring drive movement. The sheer precision and no-fuss reliability is quite something. About time Rolex did a bit of proper innovating. I don't see a quartz regulator as any more 'wrong' than an ecu unit regulating a car engine. |

I have owned only mechanical watches for the last 30 some years (Rolex and Panerai mainly). But I do own a yellow G-Shock Frogman given to me by my local DC area Paneristi Brethren for my 60th birthday. It seems that many Panerai owners also love the G-Shock!!
