Lost my Daytona

Lost in Arundel West Sussex today

I can only think a screw on the bracelet worked loose and come out.

How do I go about reporting to Rolex?

Is it worth reporting it to the police?

I'm absolutely gutted, spent 5 hours searching where I was walking, even with a torch after sunset. Going back again in the morning to look again

You must report it to the police for insurance to be valid.

Gutted for you. :(

Horrible. Any chance it was lifted from you by a pick pocket?

I was not near anybody at any point long enough to have it liftedc, I also had on a long sleeve jumped and coat over it, it wouldn't have been on show at any point

Should be covered under general household insurance, un-named items up to £10k or more is quite usual.

Unfortunately it's not, I've got buildings and contents and the contents part only covers a very minimal value.

Sorry to hear that.

I would still report it to the police, you never know. Best of luck with the hunt tomorrow.

Nope, not usual at all at that price point. Almost all UK household content insurers have unnamed items up to £1k, £2k if lucky.

Anything more than that, especially a £10k watch would need to be named and a premium added to cover it.

I guess it depends, I have £15k un-named.

Really sorry to see this - were you in a fairly busy area? I used to drive through Arundel every day, would have helped with the search but don't make that journey anymore

Hope you have some luck tomorrow

I guess all you can do is inform local police and maybe drop into the shops in the high street you were potentially nearby, there's a chance someone decent picked it up and handed it in.

Keeping fingers crossed for you

Gutted for you but I would still report it to the police you never know it might well have been handed in. There are still honest people about.

Yep, agree. Not nearly enough but there are a few decent folk left.

Report it to Dibble immediately and fingers crossed, some honest soul will already have handed it in. Good luck.

Dropped down beside a car seat maybe, or hooked up inside the woollen sleeve ??
A friend of mine many years ago lost a gold ladies watch, looked everywhere for it only to find it caught up inside the sleeve of a jumper quite a few days later.

Really sorry to hear this! I'd do what others have suggested and check with any local shops, as well as report it to the police. Good luck in the morning!

This is terrible, terrible news. Report to the police immediately and call Rolex St James at 0900 tomorrow morning and they'll advise.

Tell all the pawn shops.

I really hope you get it back soon.

I hate to see threads like this. Be sure and ask around the area in case someone found it and turned it in somewhere. Check with local authorities also. Hope this turns out ok for you.

So very sorry, keep looking, report to the police, check your jacket pockets, you'd be surprised what turns up there. Maybe stop by some of the stores that you had passed, see if anyone turned it in. Here's to hoping to a happy ending with this story.

Alert the police and then call the pawn shops in the area and report it with them.
