If you have seen it and tried it on and know it works for you then go for it. I have just moved to a YG Daytona ( leather strap) and the feel of it is in a different league altogether to any ss watch I have owned (approx 8 from memory )

let me elaborate. in a few years that watch isnt going to go for 34k. you are paying a premium for it being brand new.
i feel the drop from 34k may be significant, something like 25-30%.

You are obviously not the 1st man that has thought about doing something like this and surely won't be the last. If all you can think about is the DT and it sings to you so much then do it. Life is too short!

I would. Realistically, would you be happy? I wear the same one or two watches 99% of the time.
BTW, I really like that Hamilton Navy in back. Those are gorgeous watches. |

Keepers
I would keep the AP, Reverso, Speedy and Nomos - the rest I would get rid of.

Yes. I would probably try to keep a white face watch since you have several though.

I sure would!! that Daytona is amazing and a go everywhere do everything watch
if you had that and could keep you collection, you would never wear anything but the Daytona anyway and when you where wearing something else you would be asking yourself why am I not wearing my Daytona! |

I would sell off everything you don't wear (or that wasn't given to you as a gift). Get rid of the sunk costs and move on to something you'll love.

keeping 2 watches synchronized is a lot less time consuming than synchronizing 12

I would in a second. Perhaps I'd keep the Speedy or Tudor for an everyday "beater" when I didn't want the AP or 116509 or in a scenario where I would overly worry about scratches.

I'd probably keep the AP, sell everything else off, and then use the money for something like a vacation.

Seems like there's a high potential for regret. I've never flipped more than 2 at once. But if you can't get the Daytona out of your head and the watches aren't being worn regularly...it's the right move.
