Oh I have to agree. As a blue DJII owner I'm starting to have the same feeling - wondering who's going to buy a DJII when they can get the same watch in a DJ41 and even get a jubilee bracelet

So glad I picked up the SD4K last year - I specifically got it because it had the date and no cyclops and it is already a fairly heavy piece - now it is bigger and has a cyclops? Pass.

Sky-Dweller is a winner tho...

I thought that they changed the hand color a couple of years ago to make it more legible. They went back??

Rolex in general and daytona in particular, rolex changes only a fraction of a cent every year, they do not improve what is supposed to be a lot of money for them. Anyway rolex is still a great brand, i love it

Underwhelming, disappointing and boring.

This year I'll be looking at other brands.

I will probably stick with looking for a nice 40mm sea dweller or smp this year.

Some nice pieces, none I would really want to pursue! After last year what could we expect?

Now I can continue the wait for my DaytonaC without wanting to get on another list.

I have to say I was not a fan of the SD with cyclops, the lack of cyclops always kind of set it apart from the Sub in my eyes. Oh well it will sell no doubt.

Hodinkee just posted an article saying that the new Tudor Chrono movement was co-developed by Breitling and is based on the 01 movement. Interesting to say the least

And so much for Rolex being tight-lipped before Basel.

The new SD has been pictured on here for over a week now...

The Deep Blue escaped the chopping block, right? It's still on the site so I assume so...

Pretty dull, conservative and safe year for Rolex after the hysteria of the D500. Think the CokeC next year is very likely now, as I thought, this year is the calm before the 2 storms.

Damp Squib

No Coke GMT, no Daytona with Date, no Perpetual Calendar, a Seadweller with a magnifying glass. Let's hope other brands deliver.

Seems they really are focusing on larger sized watches. They kept the 41mm size of the DJ instead of making the rumored 40mm DJ.
The new Seadweller is also 43mm...etc. etc.

I'm not sure how anyone can be disappointed in this...Skydweller in SS with white gold bezel for $14K? Basically one of their most expensive complications in an all SS watch? This is huge in my opinion. Similar to if they had brought out an all SS Day Date.

Agree and I like this model a lot. I'm one of those who liked the Sky Dweller, but not enough to pay PM prices.

At $14k if it fits well it's superb value.

WG Daytona also looks interesting.

Honestly I'm not feeling the huge disappointment that others are; nothing as popular or wished for as the D500 but few Rolex years are.
