Don't sell a watch that is no longer made. It would be difficult and expensive to replace if you have second thoughts. I think the Pepsi(SS) may be the most beloved Rolex that is not in production. Do whatever you want, but if you are asking me, I would not do that.

With the way the prices are going on those, id hold on to it. Ive been watching for a good deal in the for sale section for quite some time now just the same few being bumped again and again.

I did the reverse. Traded my blnr for a 2006 z serial Pepsi with papers. Never looked back. Just my 2 cents.

I can assure you, you'll regret that decision forever. So please, don't even think about this anymore.

Keep the pepsi and save to add the blnr. they are brothers in arms and can coexist together!
anyways, i prefer the coke look so i kept the pepsi insert and put it on coke insert instead.

Hi

This is my second posting here. I have 5 Rolex and up until now my 39mm Explorer has been my favourite by a mile.

A few weeks ago, I bought a 16710 and put it in for service the very next day. I now have it back with a coke bezel and a new lens and it looks terrific. This has become my favourite and there is no way I could even think of selling it. It is just plain beautiful.

Regards

Mick

+1; my Pepsi is currently being serviced and I miss it a lot. Another great classic that I'll keep forever.

Just do what I did.I was a bit tired of the old faded Pepsi so I went to my AD and had a black insert installed. It's been a few weeks now and I still feel like it's a different watch. You could go with a Coke insert too.

That's good thinking. If you put that Pepsi away, like really away for a year, you will be sooooo happy to see her when you get her back out.

Get the watch you are really into, don't just keep disco-ed watches because they might be going up in price, that's what we have jobs for, this hobby is for fun.

Why not change your "old" watch? Transform it into a coke, light polish and you have a brand new watch!!

Life is way too short for just one watch. Sell and buy something new. Sounds like it's time to move on...

My take on the matter - Life is far too short to have regrets over any watch, or any
material thing. Yesterday, I traded my GMT Master II (2005, box and papers).
In the years that I had the watch, I loved it to bits. Did I have any regrets yesterday
or today - No. My Rolex journey has now moved in another direction, one day the
journey will end (comes to all of us) so I'm enjoying my Rolex experience now and in
the future with no regrets at all. Other people will disagree, and that's great, because
at the end of the day we are all individuals with different takes and values in life.
Go in peace, and which ever decision you make, enjoy.

The 6 digit GMTs have some nice upgrades, but no, I agree with a lot of people here: keep it.

It's yours, you have history with it. Maybe you hand it on to a first born/godchild/insert here later, but it is the classiest sports watch out there. It you want a change, put the black or coke bezel in it.

I own the 116710LN, which I love, but the BLNR looks plasticky compared.
