P.S. The SBGH267 is an amazing watch, one of my favorites to wear and own. So worthwhile for you to pick up. |

I have the first commercial model Spring Drive ca. 2006, small seconds at 9. It runs impeccably. Since the movement in any watch defines that watch, everything else is eye candy. You have a fine timepiece. As an aside my first trip to Japan was in 1963.

As for the SBGH267 - - unfortunately I didn't react quickly enough and someone else snatched it up. Oh well, can't win (read: afford) them all... Quote:

I should have said I purchased my spring drive in 2006, right after I read a review of the watch after it debuted in Basil. I found an AD who had some in stock and ordered from him.

First Grand Seiko: SBGA125 "Blizzard" dial 2015 LE
Nice piece sir. If i didnt have the snowflake already, would have been tempted.
I do have the Hi Beat brown dial stainless sibling of your Blizzard. It was also my first GS. Actually, it was my very first Seiko. |

Extremely beautiful watch Traveller! Lucky you :)
Is there a 62GS with a spring drive movement available today from Grand Seiko? In the market for a sporty/dressy GS and thinking of adding the snowflake but this 62GS case looks awesome. Not yet at home with all the different cases of GS. Although it is quickly becoming my favorite watch brand. Just got my second 2 days ago. Need a few more I feel...

Regarding your 62GS query, I have good & bad news. The good news is GS just released a new set of PRODUCTION 62GS-based watches The bad news is that they are exclusive to the U.S. market... SBGA413 Cherry-blossom pink / Spring Drive SBGH273 Moonlit blue / Hi-Beat SBGH271 Summer green / Hi-Beat SBGA415 Winter grey / Spring Drive the first & last have similar patterned dials of your 403 which are my favorite. Alas, I need a Hi-beat I'll be in Miami / NY next year so I'll be sure to drop by the Seiko Boutiques to have a look-see... Ref: Seiko USA

Thank you very much for that thorough answer.
Maybe in the future they'll release a 62GS again in the old continent.
