I have these flat almost rectangular wrists that AP ROOs and heavy watches like the Platona just don't fit and feel right.. Otherwise THAT watch would be upper right in my photo. I wish they had it in WG with that dial.
I understand some people like that heaviness, but not yet for me… I thought about buying it right trying it for a while and selling if it really didn't work. But my AD has let me try it on MANY MANY times and every time its a YES with looks and NO with comfort and feel…
But at some point, I probably will cave in and just try and wear it and get used to the weight and acclimate to the feel. I think I just need man up a little ....

Don't force it. If you are interested in platinum, I'd also consider a DD (either the 36, which has really peaked my interest lately, or the 40 - whichever fits / feels better). Otherwise, for a dress watch, if that "suits" you, a platinum Patek would add a new dimension to your already excellent collection! Congrats again on the incomings - tremendous!

Hey, this is a very cool collection. I have seen your threads about what you were considering. Many times when folks here buy Rolexes in multiples, it seems they are shots in the dark for serial flippers. But this is an enviable and well thought out collection! Different metals, different colored dials, a Patek, etc.

Enjoy them all.

What can I say...WOW! The YG Sub is my current grail, I am in love with the Hulk, and the BLRO is to die for! I also see Rolls Royce steering wheel and mentioned a Porsche. You have won the post of the day!

Well done, Bryant, my man! You are so on it right now and I doubt anyone is having as much fun as you are on the forums! Good and brave choice with the rose dial on the Daytona, it's a gorgeous watch and you're covered for black. Love the LVc too, you expedited that buy and I may have to do the same.

Hey Thanks, it's a 10 watch case, but just ordered a 5 watch roll from Orbita that will keep me at 5. Honestly 5 is as large I have gone and it is plenty.

Yes, I feel I am finally in a place that I can justify doing this. These have always been some of my favorite threads TRF, like Gus and Jorge being noteworthy examples that come to mind. I am not at the elite PP or AP level, but as far as Rolex Sports watches go, I have really experienced A LOT…

Congratulations my friend I wish you good health enjoy life and everything it has to offer
Hey Bill, thanks a lot, I appreciate that. Congrats on your Incoming YG Sub.. That is an incredible piece.. Currently my favorite rolex sports watch.

Next up is enjoy a while… I have all the Rolex sport watches I want that are currently available. Next up make be another Patek or Possibly a Richard Mille. But that is going to have to wait a while. I feel good about this right now. I am on the list for a SS SkySweller, but not sure if that will stick, we'll see.

Good advice, and honestly I haven't been. Did not care for the platinum DD40, have not tried on the 36. Mike has a very nice looking DD, just have not seen that one at AD.

I almost never wear a suit and tie except on TV interviews and perhaps my wedding if that ever happens…

However, I DO really like the Patek 5270, 5970 and 5153.
Perhaps a 5970 or 5270 on platinum (someday)? I will consult the PP forum's wisdom if and when that time comes.
Question though… Isn't that a little too dressy for casual wear?
I sorta see myself getting an RM055 or RM30 (because they fit better than RM11 and RM27), before a fancy dress watch. But who knows perhaps I'll end up with both.

I have to admit I have gone through serial flipping "phases"
I am hoping to slow that down and keep to a nice 4-5 piece collection
and more SLOWLY rotating in new pieces.
I finally slowed down with cars and very content with both cars and watches (finally!).
Next up ===> Need a new girlfriend…

Thanks Neil,
I liked rose and black equally. But as you mentioned, I have black covered AND I just got out of a black 116500. The black was too close and I wanted something different.
Plus, I love love those sunburst dials - that put it over the top!!!
Hulk was one I missed… Any sunburst seems to really move me all things being equal. I felt with the black dial BLRO and that the SD43 was a tad big, the Hulk was the better SS option (for me).

And of course the Hulk is a great addition for your if you go that route. I am guessing you have had it at least once?

Me too, I have different moods and occasions that call for one or the other.
Those two are probably my two favorites, but love the new Daytona almost equally and it is so sporty and comfy. 5711 is just so classy and I need a white watch. Hulk just the king of Rolex SS's with one of the nicest dials of any watch!
