Flip it. Doesn't make the wedding go away. Just makes you look for a piece that's more appropriate for you. She never bought it for you, but now she'll have a chance to....

Sounds like you really wanted an heirloom watch. If you're not satisfied with the one you wore at your wedding, and you have her blessings, move it and get what you really want. The sooner the better.

If you're not bonding with it I would trade it for another one that you will bond with. To me it doesn't matter that you wore it on your wedding day if you have no attachment to it. I think finding one you love and will cherish forever is far more important.

life is short.
and i've heard many stories of ladies upgrading their engagement rings later in life when they have a few more coins in the piggy bank.

Then save up and find a used Sub or save up more and go modern.

(maybe she'll let you borrow hers occasionally...)
