Wow, what a bunch of hype and cute kittens in that box! However, I have a problem: none of them are pretty and shiny and they don't match with my cute little sweater vest........

[GREAT collection, by the way.]

Well, it depends on where you live and your time zone. 6:00 p.m. is 1800 hours, and for my timezone, sunrise today was at 0749 hrs. and sunset will be 1842 hrs. These are very close to the colored markers on the classic bezel, wouldn't you say?

You are using it to keep track of the second timezone, the one you are not in, or to track Greenwich Mean Time.

What you see out your window does not help you determine day or night half a world away (not easily anyway).

Is it trolling to suggest that I prefer the old GMT to the new fatty GMT ceramic?

Those bicolour bezels are pretty and as Larry says, perfectly functional when you consider their true application.

The new GMTIIc is more bling than tool....JMHO

I Agree, They are all getting to be more Bling than tool. Rolex better be careful the market is already flooded with high priced diamond crusted fashion watches.

I agree also, the new GMT II is a bling watch, not a everyday tool watch.. Rolex needs to keep the bling away from the sport watches, it just makes no sense to make a functional tool watch then make it all shinny. I think they have a bunch of Ivy League grads designing their new lines.

Your opinion to which your entitled to. However the previous GMT was and remains IMO an icon.

The only discussion really was which Bezel combination people liked.
