Hmm! I've serviced my Day-Date, I removed the bracelet and sent the head only and requested they do not touch the case or bezel and do a movement service only.

Fair enough it came back with the same scratches and nicks as before I sent it.

Granted, I did not alter the watch as did the OP.

OK well my comment was anecdotal since I have never sent an altered watch to RSC. I stated what I have heard many times. I could be wrong. It has happened before.

I think that dial looks pretty cool brushed.

Although, I think the GV and the Z Blue would probably look better polished.

That's not really the same as sending in a modified watch, wouldn't you say?. This is a company that tries to claim that brushing a bracelet voids the warranty...

I wish Rolex would return the Milgauss to its tool roots vs the polished, jewelry, "chrome"/bling look of today

What about all brushed, but with a polished bezel only? IMO that could work really well on the Z Blue
