The watch looks great on you! Especially the D-blue dial. Love it!!

Don't forget, this is Rolex's largest watch! It's meant to be worn big and stand out.

Beautiful piece and glad to see you got it again!

Highly subjective - I could probably pull off a 44 with 8 inch wrists but don’t as I find it unwieldy. Constantly knocking in to crap. My largest is 43 oris aquis.

But as others have stated dive watches are supposed to be large and if you want it get it. I am thinking a 40mm sub is about perfect for you though.

Since you are asking, I personally think it looks really big. The fact you are asking others tells me you might think it is too. But if you get it, rock it and don't look back and worry what others think bud.

In the first pic the watch looks like a bangle bracelet, the crown is half way down the back of your hand....it’s a no for me dawg(Randy Jackson voice)

Really comes down to personal taste though the DS probably still looks big on just about any wrist?

It looks fine but since your post reads like you’ve owned it before I would pass then. Why not branch to Panerai? A 44mm Pam would look great and they are very comfortable.

I think it looks borderline big on your wrist. Especially the thickness. But if you feel that it sits good; no problem, go for it :)

My wrist is 7.5 and I chose the SD43. No regrets :)

I think you can pull it off. I think it’s at the outer limits of your range, but if you miss it it’s definitely worth reaquiring. I let mine go and still question the move. Beautiful dial and a tech marvel as well.

Have a couple subs that are fantastic...I just love this one too for the tech aspect, and the dial.

That’s why I sit on the fence with this one. It’s so borderline for me

Yeah, thickness is the main detractor

I haven’t, and I’m sure it’d be an excellent fit. I just love the dssd blue dial.

Buy it. You have the forearms to support it. Great watch. You’ll look at it and thank yourself for getting it. Enjoy!!!

Only you can decide. I think these monster watches are too much, but that said, it looks fine on you.

For myself and my skinny wrists I’ve decided 40mm is my outside limit. But then people here think 35 and 37mm watches are too small.

There’s no wrong answer. Go with your heart. Ordinary people don’t notice. Only we WIS people.

Based on your pictures, the size is at the limit for me before I’d say “too big” . The lugs don’t extend beyond the flat portion of your wrist. I like to have at least a few millimeters of wrist on 6 and 12 o’clock sides. The thickness is the showstopper for me on this watch.

Think you can pull it off it is a big watch no doubt but still a special one. I would try the SD43 as well however that may cause an issue as it did me wanting and getting both.

Unfortunately the watch is too thick and this looks way to big.
It's ultimately why I sold
mine even though I really
liked it.

It seriously looks wonderful on your wrist Richard!

The lugs are perfect. The height is what it is but casually it looks the part and you definitely have the mass to easily pull it off!!
