15000 Date, which I bought in 1988 and wore it everyday until 2001, when I bought a 16610 Sub.

I got my 16610 when I was 14 in 2007. My grandfather left me some money after he died. He loved watches and I thought it would be the best way to remember him! Never going to sell it on!

My first one ever, 1984. Still looks like the first day even though it's seen a lot of fishing, hunting and even diving.

16613 from 2003. Got it new. Kept it the longest, but eventually I felt the TT look wasnt right for me as I aged. Became a bit blingy as I moved up the ladder. Was great when I was a younger, flashier guy. Loved it, though!

My first one. A 16610. Had it for 10 years before I flipped it.

I still have my 5513 Sub the "War Horse" fifty two years. She has been all over the World.
On my wrist in Vietnam, We walked a "Beat" in Ybor City in Tampa. Rode with the Florida Highway Patrol. Participated in 106 Space Shuttle launches at Beautiful Pad 39A. Both of us are out to pasture now. Life has been Good to us both. |

Submariner 16610. Was a graduation gift from my parents in 1991. It still gets substantial wrist time.

August 1979 Sea Dweller 1665 I purchased in Zurich at Bucherer for 850.00. I have all the paperwork, books, and receipt. I have had it serviced by RSC Dallas 4 times. Looks brand new and keeps excellent time.

I still have the first one I bought in 1982, a two-tone Dayjust. I sent it to RSC New York some years ago, it was returned like new, and now it’s retired.

My 1680 Sub was a graduation present in the spring of 1977. I put it on the day before I began my professional career and took it off the day after I retired. I wore that watch 24/7 for 35 years and although now retired from daily service I will never part with it. Now at 41 years and counting! The 116610LN SubC can now be found on my wrist most days.

When I joined the Navy in 1966, my folks bought me a Submariner 5512.
Wore it in USS Enterprise and USS Long Beach during WesPac deployments (Viet Nam), and all the years after. Last overhauled at RSC Dallas in '08. Although semi-retired today, the watch runs strong and accurately.

I would say this one. I bought it new in 1985 and wore it everywhere and every day until I got my Daytona. Now I wear it once every month or two. To be honest, I think about selling it and might do so if I get another watch. I know everyone here thinks watches contain memories and I'd miss it, but TBH I don't look at my watch and think, "I remember wearing you to my wedding, or to Europe, or to the Masters or the Stanley Cup or the World Series." I think, "You were my favorite watch for a lot of years, but I don't seem to wear you anymore."
We shall see!

16610 U series Tritium
It was inherited at graduation and was on my wrist almost every day and night for the better part of 10 years. It was at my wedding, birth of both sons, great times and not so great times. I recently replaced it as my daily with a CHNR but it will always be a meaningful part of my collection. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

My father is still wearing the 1966 Rolex Date watch he bought after returning from his 2nd tour in Vietnam. He sends it in regularly for maintenance.

My first from September 2008.
I'm not a flipper, so it's likely to be with me to the end, as will all my watches.

16233 almost 30 years (bought new). I don't "flip" watches (to use the preferred vernacular. I know what I want and, if I can afford it, I get it. I'm not on some mystical search like some and I don't get bored with a watch that I like. I have a Seiko Moonphase chronograph I bought earlier in the 80's and I still wear it.

my YG oyster flex with the quasi john players special charoal dial and gold subs...Ive only had it for a year and a half ish, but for me that's forever for one that doesn't come with a story (gift or whatever). Have no plans of ever getting rid of it!
(pic from when I just got it, the plastic is LONGGG gone and it's got plenty of patina!) |

Which Rolex have you kept the longest?
Have had my Sub for 2 years lol.
It is an improvement as my first a DJ II only lasted 8 months and then the BLNR went about a year. I think only way I am getting rid of it would be getting a white Daytona C, a ceramic black bezel on an explorer 2, or adding a white dial to a Sub C. I like a white and black color combo if you have not noticed. |
