Have to see it in person to truly judge. But if it's only produced in small numbers and doesn't sell well due to polarizing looks, could be collectable.

The TT is absolutely the most hideous thing Rolex has ever done. Be sure to tell your ADs! OK, I'm kidding, just trying to avoid waiting lists and gray markups. I love this thing. Also, when I showed this Internet photo to my wife, she thought one looked spectacular and the other looked like "something a used car salesman would wear." Now, I'm not saying which is which...

By the time the root beers were discontinued, Rolex couldn't give them away. I doubt they were in a hurry to resurrect that situation for a few folks that liked it.

Brown looks amazing with rose gold...

Brown bezel and black dial match literally everything.

I actually like the brown & black GMTs better than the pink & blue SS and WG models... I think everybody's eyes see colors slightly different.

I just can’t picture a used car salesman, in ill-fitting trousers, short sleeve shirt and fat tie, wearing either one of these.

I'm pretty young and two tone never appealed to me but I'm surprised by how much I like this model.

It was designed for UPS pilots. “What can brown do for you?” I think it’s a great looking watch.

I suppose a similar question could be asked about the bezel on the platinum Daytona, the brown does not match the beautiful ice blue dial at all.
I suspect they developed it because they thought it would be popular and spur sales of TT and Solid Everose watches. If it isn't up to ones standards then it's time to move on to something that is. For me, I like it better than the colors of the cran-grape GMT. I wonder why anyone would want a watch with red markings on the dial. Don't they know the only time to use red is when marking a mistake?

Okay guys here is some data to back up my claim: http://www.joehallock.com/edu/COM498/preferences.html

As you can see brown is the second most common least favorite color after orange, but is also a lot less likely to be someone's favorite color than orange, therefore it is fair to say that brown is the overall least favorite color.

As you can also see from those pie charts blue is by far the most popular color, no wonder so many people adore the BLNR.

have you ever considered that fact that Rolex isnt trying to make a watch that appeals to everyone or even most? Some watches are made to fit a niche, otherwise all they would make would be a black sub.

They make the AK and YMII and..... dress watches. So there is a precedent for this.

Rolex could release a lime green and pale pink bezel and some of you guys would still love it.

Why don’t you take this conversation over to the Omega forums and discuss the Orange PO

I hope you realize that whomever this Joe guy is, he uses a ridiculously small sample size. Can’t be any biases in that data? No regional preferences, huh?

You can do better than that if you’re going to bring a study as evidence.

OP is just going to use that as evidence to strengthen his case. If its so great there should be at least two.

Here is another survey with a much larger sample size: https://www.hotdesign.com/marketing/...avorite-color/

As you can see the results are similar again, but with brown being the most despised color this time.

Blue and green are clearly the the two most favorite colors, so Rolex would hit the jackpot if they released blue/green bezel. Maybe this could be the first platinum GMT!

This is an International forum and you dare say such words? What on Earth were you thinking when you said Brown is the ugliest colour? What colour is your waste matter mister? What's the colour of your liver, kidneys and glycogen storage in your body? What's the colour of your skin pigment melanin? Are you actually a racist and prejudice against brown skinned people too? 16 million Malaysians have tanned brown skin of various shades and you're trying to be funny on the TRF? Your words were poorly constructed and have failed you miserably. I'm not bothered or in the least interested in what you have to say about bicoloured cerachrom bezels but the fact that you have so much of contempt for the colour brown bordering on racial bullying pisses me off.

These " Brown Malaysians" are my dear friends and they're some of the most beautiful people inside and outside I've ever met in my life...

Howdy,

Respectfully speaking, only toothless hillbillies from Pittsburg or Baltimore would dare to think Orange and Brown are the least favorite colors of all time.

No offense intended to toothless hillbillies not from Pittsburg or Baltimore as I’m sure your great people.

Take care,

Ruddiger

Come on. Let’s not turn this into a racism thread because the op didn’t like the colour of a watch - I’m fairly sure that was not an intention of it.
