I think you get that at all the big schools. Your level of exposure is proportional to your ability to move out of your comfort zone.

Now, if he wanted a real cultural experience, he'd join the Marines for a few years.
Semper Fi!

Congrats to you and your son BP.

I got accepted into duke and decided not to go solely because they don’t have a “real” business school. I would not recommend Duke if he wants to get into the high end finance jobs.

As a note I am 25 and in the investment banking industry, so just went through the later part of what your son will begin.

I’d personally love to chat! My father and I decided Duke wasn’t the right school for me because of this.

Lots of grant money and loans available. I paid for mine to go. My only requirement was that they stayed in Florida.

Update

Sorry for the long delay in updating. After all of the initial consideration he revisited his "dark horse" choice. He had a great second visit and will be attending Brown University.

Totally fell in love with the place.

You son was truly blessed to have such well-known colleges to choose from; it takes a very well-rounded individual to even be considered. Brown is a great school and I am confident your son will only add to its splendor.
My daughter still has time to make her choices, I will update her progress when she makes her decision.

Headshrinker- good luck to you and your daughter. Easier said then done I know, but enjoy the ride. The whole process allows for such insight into your child. I am sure she will do well by just being true to herself.

If I can help in anyway please PM me. Learned a lot along the way that I would be happy to share.
