But when it comes to the new rg gmt chnr...I think the TT version is nicer than the full gold version. I think it’s because the bezel gets washed out sitting up against an entire rg watch where as the tt has ss which draws your eye to the chnr bezel.

What r ur thoughts?
When it is a TT combination of 2 PMs!

Whenever the person likes the watch and wears it well.

I personally do not care for TT. And I would rather have a black plastic casino. However, I have friends who love their TT Rolexes. And their attitude shows through to the watch. Their TT watches looks great on them.

Just my opinion.

I feel the 116618LB is nicer looking than the TT 116613LB... HOWEVER, the TT variant is more appropriate for me given my work environment IMO. And since I still love the TT Bluesy there is no issue for me either way. I'm a happy TT camper!

The older TT root beer is fantastic. Like it better than full gold.

Rolex is probably the only brand I would buy a TT watch from and I tend to prefer them to the PM versions. They bring out the details of how good the design of the case and bracelet are. I nearly bought a TT Daytona but opted for SS as I didn't like how the yellow gold looked on me. Rose gold TT on the other hand is a different story, I'm very tempted by the GMT but I bet when they do a RG TT Sub or Daytona it will be even better so I'll wait it out. I'm not millennial, lived through the 80s, loved them then and love them now!

I agree with an earlier post about your bank account playing a role in your love/hate with TT. For me I knew I wanted a blue dial sub for my first rolex and while I could have stretched the budget and got a pre owned PM, after trying both on the TT gave the bit of flash that I wanted and the price tag was easier to swallow. TT can also be a good introduction to wearing YG as you can like it on display but it’s another thing to wear on your wrist. TT can always be flipped to go towards funding a PM a down the road or the 10-15k you save with TT can open up your budget for the next watch!

Some very beautiful watches posted in this thread! I take it on a case by case basis. Sometimes I like solid gold, sometimes TT, and sometimes SS. I like watches made of all types of metal.

With that said, I’m worried I will like the full RG gmt once I see it in person.

I’m just not a TT Guy. I’m also not a PM guy. So for me I rarely spend much time looking at rather. Now give me a SS Rolex and I’m all game!

For me TT ranks below Plat, WG, or YG in any full PM form. However, I don't like RG so TT YG beats anything in RG.

I don’t mind a bit of TT.
I think the TT SkyD with the black dial looks amazing!
As does the new CHNR.

The new TT gmt with rose gold that is more close to bushed steel on the 2 sides are much better than the all rose gold gmt.

The 2 tones bazel for TT new GMT is a big plus too.

I really only like the GMT LN in TT, but even that looks better in full gold.

i have a rose gold - steel patek 5980AR nautilus chrono incoming. if i thought the full gold model looked better, i would just buy that one but the TT nautilus is outstanding. so is the TT bluesy and the TT GMT.

I find the 6 digit TT Sub Date LB to best the YG version, while I equally like the 5 digit versions. Guess full YG doesn't work as great on the maxi case, though strangely I don't feel the same about the 6 digit YG GMT...

IMO, TT is more attractive than full PM when the gold used in the TT is everose.

For example, the new CHNR. Also the DJ41 posted above and not forgetting the TT RG Yatchmaster.

In terms of physical attractiveness, I'm with most here that one consistent material is most attractive. There's something about YG that strikes me as classic gravitas. TT is a great gateway "drug" though and can be a way to get comfortable wearing PM.

The GMT CHNR is the first I've liked a TT over the PM or SS models. Most of that is due to this being a rose gold TT (not a giant yellow gold fan myself).

I grew up in Italy, in the eighties. Back then, TT Daytonas, subs and GMTs were the way if you wanted something sporty, yet elegant. PM was considered too gaudy. All SS not for every occasion. Back then. Personally, I have never been a fan of TT. I like one color metal, watches. That being said, I can see how TT stands in a category of its own. If you want more that just SS, but are unable to or do not want to be 'flashy' with all PM, I believe TT is the answer. Especially when it comes to certain Rolex models as seen in this post, and the new TT GMT CHNR.

I actually quite like the look of a lot of two tone watches and have had the bluesy and YM II in the stable. That said, I have come to prefer pm or ss. That said, if someone made the case that bluesy or YM II with it's color combo in tt is better looking than their all gold counterparts, I'd see their point. Also, the flashy factor and feeling more comfortable in two tone vs. all pm seems to carry more weight than one being better looking than the other.
