Last year you had it in "grape" and this year you think you're too old for blue?

young enough to still like this... old enough to know it's good too, and recognize a super talented man...

How so?

Purple is far more playful than blue... And a year isn't much of a difference.

If you like the blue, go for it. It's no where near as "youthful" as the grape you wore the previous year.

apples, oranges is a joke, hope you got it.

The grape was surprisingly subtle, it was very dark, IIRC, almost black at times. But it didn't resonate with me, pretty much instantly, and in many ways. It wasn't even the color. I bought it on eBay. The blue was offered at a local AD and it was well over a year ago. I don't think the OP line is for me though. Then again, sometimes I revisit things and wonder "what was I thinking?"... you're right, go for what you like. I guess I didn't like it.

This is an insulting post. I wear a white gold Sub with blue dial and if anything it is the opposite of sophomoric pretentiousness. And many of our members wear PM or sports watches, or both, and I hardly think they would be characterized as having sophomoric pretentiousness.

it's kind of hard to say anything without insulting... someone. Sorry if I offended you. If anything, I find some of the exchanges here kind of funny in a well intended way, and thank god, I'm not too old or jaded to laugh at myself. I do think that age may form some of our tastes, but individuality and personal taste are also important.

oops- I got it now. I don't think you were referring to my post but a response.

what is a PM watch...

I’m somewhat younger than you are; not a whole lot, though. OP is great, and blue works for any age

that looks great. it looks like the black dial, I think that came out a little later, and no colored indices?

I just turned 60 and gifted myself the Air King 116900. It's not about your age but how you feel about yourself. .. I feel good and love my AK. ..;)

Get the watch and a young girlfriend at the same time... it won't be the watch that lets you know you are to old :)

I'm 70 and I will buy and wear any watch I want. And if some young whipper snapper says squat to me, I may, and can, kick his ass.

Next question.

You're saying I'm in my late 30's and wearing an old man's watch? To top it off it's steel dial and a 36mm model.

Baselworld 2018, along with the white dial. Most folks in the forum prefer the latter. No colors, indeed

Yes OP is only meant for the age group of 22.5 years up to 36 years. But that is according to last year's polls.
