In your case I would try to get it fixed, show it to Scott or Markus at Heller, they should be able to tune this for you for a reasonable fee, I'm sure its not covered by warranty as I tried to have my dent fixed when I was in Sydney and they wanted AU$300 for it...In your case, probably spend a little and get it fixed so it doesn't bother you being its right on the top.

Thanks for your advice. It is on its way to RSC LA. Hope it is an easy fix.

Go to 210 Post Street in SF for Giovanni and team. I believe they used to be RSC, but had to take off "Rolex" a year or two ago. I've had work done by them a few times, and I recommend 100%. As good as RSCs.

On its way to RSC LA. Let’s see how it goes.

The change in time-keeping would be an annoyance though. But it may self-regulate after that little shock. Maybe observe it for a week or so and reassess. But the dent is fantastic!! And congrats on the 116610lv!! Great piece.

It seems that there are two group of people, like hug the character or fix it right away. I am the one who is more concern about the movement. Thanks for your words which makes me feel much better.

Dropped my SD43 at 2 months of age. Started losing 8 sec/day. Sent it in to RSC Dallas. They were great and even though my fault they serviced it at no charge “this one time”. Send it in, avoid any further potential movement damage.

Did you notify them you dropped your watch? My watch is on its way to RSC LA, hope I would get the luck as you do.

If your movement was damaged you’d see some irregular timekeeping by now. I think it survived just fine.

The lug is rashed but that could wait IMHO.

They may add metal via laser welding, then finish down to factory dimensions.

IIRC Rolex gives independent dealers/ Watchmakers a +/- 7 sec to fall within standards. But I could be wrong also. But at 5 sec a day I wouldn’t stress it. My 16610 was running -19 S/D after 10 years of no service and multiple dives and beating the crap out of it. But now running at -3 S/D

I just got the call from RSC LA. They told me that even though the movement was affected by the drop, they will still do the movement regulation free of charge. Thanks for all people’s advice. Keep working and buy a Rolex!

I would have done the same thing OP. I think lower left lug where i couldn’t see it, wouldn’t bother me. Right there front and center, ya i would be constantly looking at it. Hope it comes back fast!

That's a big ding for a fairly new watch. I would get it laser welded.

I would obsess over a dent that large, so I would send it to a RSC.
