I'd take the Tudor over the BLNR. Double the depth rating, longer PR and better value. I think it looks better, too.

I was at a rolex event recently and despite the hottest Baselworld pieces, people wanted to see my BLNR.

It’s a truly incredible piece and my favourite by miles.

Go for BLNR if you can secure one.

I’ve accidentally bought both in the last week! I’ll upload some side by sides after I’ve picked up the BLNR in a couple of days, in the meantime...

Tough one, I love both, I really do, but I would go for the Tudor since its less expensive and it you can buy another watch(or more) or anything for another hobby....

If you are set on the BLNR go for it, as you can see by the answers in this thread you wont be dissapointed with it.

Edit: Beautiful pic Gary! looks awesome

Though I like the Tudor Pepsi, I just could not get pass the handset.

Given the 2 choices I’d go for the BLNR.

Yep and the Rolex is a better looking watch, better quality and better value. It can be worn in all the situations the others can AND it has gone up in value considerably since you bought the others.

I know where I’d put my money.

I can honestly say that I don't love my watches with the new movements any more than my watches with the "old" movements. A watch is about how it feels, looks, and performs on the wrist.

Any Rolex movement will do the job, IMO.

It sounds like the BLNR is your biggest itch to scratch, so I'd get that. The Tudor will make a great complement to it down the road.

I also think the new power reserve is awesome, but I wouldn’t wait on the BLNR.

I also have a gut feeling that Rolex will do something drastic to the BLNR before updating the movement. Dare I say, discontinue it!? Lol. I know it’s taboo to say so and I’m just straight guessing. It’s just my feeling on it. So IMO, if you want a BLNR, it’s best to get it now.

For people who kept saying the Tudor is a better value for half price, it’s not. Tell me, which Tudor since the new heritage line such as the black bay that has increase value since introduction? Personally I would buy it second hand in a couple of months for a huge discount. Even a used blnr cost more than retail.

Tudor. Every time for me.

Don’t like the ceramic bezels. Think they are too shiny and gaudy and ugly. The case/lugs are way too fat And the PCL’s annoy me.

Even if money was no object, Tudor.

Now I have not tried on the BB GMT. The thickness scares me a little bit. Unless you need a GMT function how about a regular BB or a BB58??? Thinner, cheaper yet, and totally awesome.

If you prefer the modern look over the retro look just save your money and get the Rolex.

Side by side, the BLNR will crush the Tudor.

Both? I think they each have their pros and cons. Love the 2 tone ceramic bezel of the BLNR but I am not a fan of the PCL's. Love the brushed bracelet and size of the Tudor but I just have a tough time getting behind an aluminum bezel, I can't help but think of it fading in the future.

Great Shot, Gary! Would LOVE to see the side by sides when you have time to upload them. Interested to see how they stack up next to each other as far as case dimensions.

Thanks, all for the awesome insights and opinions; really helpful.

To clarify, money isn't an issue, but certainly a consideration. My pros and cons are:

BLNR
PROS: Love the bezel color, thinner, Rolex style hands, incredible build quality, timeless, and, it's a Rolex and that matters. It also retains it's value, which I don't particularly care about because I could never see myself flipping it.

CONS: PCLs, Price, 20-22 hours less PR,

Tudor
PROS: Better PR, Double the WR (200m), Brushed bracelet/overall tool watch look, less than half the price of the BLNR, vintage feel (no crown guards, no maxi dial or super case, aluminum bezel which should patina with time/wear)

CONS: It isn't a Rolex, isn't the BLNR color scheme, noticeably thicker than the BLNR, doesn't have a ceramic bezel (ceramic being more durable), I don't love the snowflake hands like I do the Rolex Mercedes hands.

At any rate, really enjoying the pics and comments in this thread. Thanks, all.

The answer is really obvious here. The Tudor is a fine watch but only the BLNR will always be objectively better. It looks better, it is better made and will be very colllectible in the future because it is the first bi-color ceramic bezel GMT that Rolex ever made and the first time they ever used this color combination.

This is mainly a Rolex forum so what do you expect

All I can say is that on watchprosite they did a pill between the Pepsi Tudor and Rolex
You would be surprised....

Still too many people will automatically answer rolex

Can’t go wrong with any of them but most here still do not understand Tudor
Probably due to the fact that Tudor isn’t that well known in the US and UK
I believe they reintroduced Tudor in these markets only 7 or 8 years ago

In Europe ( just like Zenith) they are better known and appreciated
