Thought about this a lot but I like too many watches to cut down to one, or a few...

The LN would make a great one and only! I dream of becoming a one watch guy but 3 seems to be the sweet spot for me. They all get worn while having plenty of variety. It is also nice having one to wear while one is in the shop.

Everytime I wear my BLNR for about a week straight I contemplate selling everything else and being a one watch guy

.... then I open my watch box and luckily all those crazy feelings disappear

A two-watch guy maybe, but a one-watch solo.....to look at everyday......forever.
I just couldn't do it. I admire those that can, but as for me some days the fresh timepiece of the week just rejuvenates.

I’m with you. I had a few watches and had trouble rationalizing it. There was one watch I liked the most and wore all the time. I’d go #3.

I know it all boils down to "do as you wish" but I could use some help here from those who share a similar point of view.

1. Would you let go of

116710LN
BB S&G on bracelet
Blue Pelagos

For a mint 16710 example on a straight swap.

2. Let go of above for a mint 16610, possibly some cash
my way

3. Just ditch the Tudors, buy a jubilee bracelet for the
wife's DJ, maybe also a super jubilee for my LNand
live happily everafter.

Any thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

Ditching any and all Tudors is a great idea. No claim to fame or particularized history. Stick with the real deal Rolex or go Omega.

I can’t wear any other watch without wishing I was wearing this one. And since it’s also the most comfortable, this is my daily driver and couldnt be happier.

Thoughts on becoming a one watch guy

I have become a one watch guy. It’s not as bad as you think. I have a Sub C LN and it meets my needs. I also have an Oysterflex strap so it helps change it up.

For your situation I would go with #1 and do the following.

1. Coke bezel
2. Pepsi bezel
3. Newer style or jubilee bracelet.

I also would do #2 but make it an LV but then get a glidelock and a black bezel

This of course if money is not a problem.

You will have numerous choices with one main watch.

I am still kicking myself. About 2 1/2 years ago I could have bought a 16610 LV from DavidSW with glidelock for 7800. Why on earth did I not do that!!! I love my sub but having an option to swap bezels would be great.

I've been a one-watch guy* for about six months now - 116610LN only. I fell into the situation by accident, but decided to stick with it. Sometimes I'm fine with it. Sometimes I jones pretty hard for something else.

*I'm only counting finer watches. I've got a few G Shocks and Timex digitals for practical uses, plus a TAG quartz I never wear and can't be bothered to sell.

One watch is the way my friend... As you say, one less worry in life.
OK maybe one and a half - by which I mean a cheap beater for when the Rolex simply shouldn't be worn (working with chemicals or visiting high crime areas!)

^^^ This is the most straightforward option

What's with all the bracelet swaps? Rolex has made it difficult and it's better just to buy the watch you want unless swapping produces a killer combination that's otherwise unavailable (eg a BLNR with a super jubilee)

To me it sounds like you're not really happy with _anything_ you have. But that's how life is: the chase is more fun than obtaining whatever it is you're after.

May I recommend the SD43, you'll love it if you already have a Pelagos

If I had to go down to one, it would be the Daytona or Sub C and I could easily be happy.

For years, the LN was my one and only. Now I'm up to four. I'm heading down to two and possibly one.

Years ago most everybody was a "one watch" person. Imagine if that trend re-emerges and the huge impact it would have the modern watch industry which is dependent upon people buying and owning as many watches as they can.

Another vote for just keep the LN and sell everything else. A 5 digit gmt or sub sounds like a good idea, but you may not like it as much as you think if you're used to the 6 digit models. I had a 16570 polar briefly and while it was a cool watch, I preferred the look and feel of a 6 digit way more. I think the GMT LN is a perfect daily and very versatile, maybe even more so than a Sub because it's a little more dressy.

Another option is to flip all the Tudors and get another Rolex, maybe a white dial OP or something. Personally, I can't see myself as a OWG just yet.

Very good point. However if I ever were to go PM, that would have to be white gold or (unobtainable at the moment) platinum.
Great shot of the s&g by the way, I like it too, really, just not as much as my GMT.

I am having similar thoughts. I considered selling all my watches (a Tudor, a WG Daytona, Tag Monaco 24, Speedmaster and a couple of Grand Seikos) and buying one high end piece that would signify I had reached a peak of collecting (likely a PP 5711). Then I realised.... wait, the 5726 is “better”... point being I could own a 5711 today and could end up listing after something else in the near term!! Is that better than having a few in rotation? I am undecided...

I am going down the path of having a daily wearer for an extended period. For me that is a Sd4k which I have recently acquired. After a time to reset by brain with just one watch I hope I can make a more reasoned decision on the ones that have sat for a while in the box.

Problem for me is a little different to you in that my sentimental watch is not worn that much. It is a Tag Monaco 24 and is a little big and blingy. That said I have attached a story to each watch so will honestly have a hard time selling any! If you have a sentimental watch that get 80% of the wrist time (I think I read that right?) surely you keep that one? If it is just maybe a case of itchy trigger finger to buy something else I would wear the LN for a while and if you do sell the two Tudors in the medium term mentally bank that money towards a second watch if you want to re-enter the collecting game.
