I've been wearing watches since I was kid and lifting my left wrist to tell the time is so instinctive that I do it without thinking about it.

My son says I look funny without a watch.I always wear a watch

My work is also very time conscious ,so I am always aware of time .

When I first got mine I had to make a habit of looking down at the watch instead of phone. Now it’s more natural to look at the watch and helps keep my screen time down.

I think my phones last forever because they don't get dropped checking the time.

Depends, if phone out and I’m looking at it, phone. If in risky spot then usually phone but sometimes neither.

I once read about a study, shortly after digital watches became a thing years ago, that kids that checked the analog time versus those that checked the digital time had a much better concept (internal-clock) of what 5min, 20min, 45min, etc. was without looking at the time.

I wish I could find that article as it has added more value to my analog watches over the years, and consequently all of my kids have worn a watch since age 8 as a result of reading it. I would love to see my teenage girl one day look up from her phone (which rarely happens) to check the time on her watch. One can hope.....

Quicker to check my wrist than pull my iphone out
of my pocket... Bluesy time is Rolex time and that's
the time I always check ...

Phone, honestly. My watches can be up to 3 minutes off, as I don’t bother adjusting them every other day (vintage pieces, just let them beat) and I have conf calls, for which I‘d rather be on time.

At work I am in meetings constantly. To keep my time in check without making the obvious gesture of “what is the time now” in front of other meeting attendees I always rely on my Rolex. With a casual movement of my arm and tug of shirt sleeve I can quickly glance at my watch and tell time. With the phone, one can’t possibly do the same with equal finesse and style!

Rollie (or whatever’s on the wrist) - nothing beats seeing seconds sweep across the dial

I use my watch for the time, but often find myself staring at it without noticing the time then I have to double check what time it is..

I use the sun dial in my backyard. Is there another way to tell the time?

Watch. I am so used to looking at my watch to read time that I almost never pull my phone out for just seeing what time it is...

Why would one wear a watch if not to tell time? I know some wear it as a piece of jewelry, but for me, my watch is there to provide the time.

You answered your own question. Sometimes if I'm lazy and I grab a watch from the bank I won't even set the time I'll just wear it.

My Rolex. But I also use my phone to verify, or to have a more accurate time when necessary.

That's not true at all. This is one of the friendliest places on the internet. You've started a record-breaking 90 threads in the month that you have been a member, and to start with some of them were so unpopular that you yourself asked admin to lock them.
