The new hands down. I typically appreciate vintage watches, cars, etc. but my ownership experiences with them have been, at best, frustrating. New is not always better but old is not always vintage either.

Just gifted the new Pepsi to my wife. It was her turn for a new model.
I currently own in the GMT series a NIB D series 16710A(never worn), an all black 16710, a 116713LN, the 16750 Pepsi and my favorite the BLNR.

I passed on owning the BLRO as I love the blue/red of the 16750 and I wear the BLNR.
Buying for my wife was extremely smart on my part.

I love the new one but I much prefer the previous generation (16710).

Sorry for the offtopic:
Went with the 'diet Pepsi' Tudor GMT due to its more vintage vibe plus the benefit of modern calibre (top accuracy, 70hrs PR) and 200WR. The only dislike is the faux rivets on the bracelet, but the watch is a strap monster.

If I had to pick one, I'd pick the BLRO. I'll never own one as I just don't think a jubilee looks good on a tool watch. I think it looks best with a Members Only jacket and an '84 Pontiac Fiero GT. Just my opinion.

[QUOTE=Franks07;9231138]Tough call as the BLRO is certainly a very nice piece...even on a Jubilee.
Being a vintage guy I’d have to opt for a NOS condition 16750 like this full set from 1985 that I wouldn’t trade for it’s newer cousin.

That’s not even fair, I definitely lean towards old but this really shows how much
more gorgeous the older references were.

I look at the old one and think Pan-Am, Apollo, Yeager, Magnum etc. It might be vintage by modern standards but it possesses a boat load of provenance and history that made it the most certified tool watch in history.
The new one cannot trumpet any of the above, and never will.
I own both and wear the ceramic version as my daily tool watch.
If I was forced to keep only one, it would be the 16710. As old as they are now, they’d still last a lifetime even from today.

16710...prefer the case shape and versatility (oyster + jubilee bracelet). With that said, I love the new version as well

“The old one?” Do you mean the 6542, 1675, 16750, 16700 or 16710? The provenance is built around multiple models and the 126710 is surely just an extension of this....?
