From the style of the clasp, it is very hard to believe that is a 2008 watch.
Pre 2003 or earlier. |

16600’s were never made with the current machined clasp. They were all stamped.

I'm confussed. Not hard to do sometimes.
There seems to be some discussion whether its legit or not and that would lead me to think WF have a serious issue with credibility if they have gone all the way through their process to the point of actually advertising this watch. Price aside, as I find they are sometimes way off the mark, surely they have enough of a history to be regarded as a safe bet to buy genuine watches from, or am I missing something?

I bought my SD from Goldsmiths in Nottingham in 2008 for GBP 4,500...so a bit of inflation for an unused Comex.

Great to get out of the safe at a party to impress your friends. You'll be gutted when they all say, "what's Comex mean?"

Each to their own but to me the interesting thing with a Comex is the history and provenence. To buy a safe queened example with no diving history is just like buying any other NOS sub of the same reference. In this case a pretty uninteresting sapphire sports Rolex.
I get it if you are an avid Comex collector and this is what’s missing. But if you’re just buying into Comex there’s so many other watches I would buy before this one. That’s just me though.

No real kudos in this watch, seller looking for a mug punter; watch has no history, no appeal and certainly no soul.
