Very big of you, Boa; but I'm sure you will be rewarded ten-fold.

Exactly last year at this time, I got rid of my other Bluesy in order to pay up for my "leaky building" problems.

Guess what? A year later, the good Lord rewards me with another Bluesy and I'm now back on my feet.

That's life - keep the faith.

Good luck and God bless - JJ

Every once in awhile - you need to make a bet in life. Betting on your wife - I think is probably a good bet.

The best of luck to you and your family!

A little background:
I moved across the country in order to get a better paying job, so that she could quit her day job and just focus on her business. Don't get me wrong, I was happy to do it. I adore my wife. Naturally, I didn't hesitate to put everything up for sale when she asked. I know how hard it was for her to make that request of me. Of course, if the business takes off, I'll be able to replace these things. But it stings a little, as you all can imagine. OK, I'm done whining. And thank you for your ear.
when you are put into a position that you have to give up a luxury (or luxuries in your case since you had several Rolexes), it can sting, but it may re-acquiring them that much more FUN when the turnaround comes your way!!

I'm sure you'll be out shopping for your new WATCHES in no time!! Good luck with the transition and new business!!

Words cannot express how overwhelmed I am by the kind support from this community.

The truth is that we have been working on this business together for over three years. If timing is truly everything, then we will have predicted correctly, because her business can literally save two massive (but currently faltering) industries. So, we shall see.

In the meantime, I'm compiling a short list of watches that will rock me to sleep at night until the day I can afford to buy them.

Thank you all for your generous comments, and for making this such an amazing place to visit.

Good luck boa2! Sounds like you have a good woman there and you'll have some watches again one day. These are material things. If your problems can be solved with money you have, then you have no problems. Just feels like you do some times as these are quite beautiful watches.

So, if I may ask, what is the business?

Thank you very much.

Nuff respect. It takes a real man to give up those material things in order to give his wife the chance to achieve a dream. I hope it works out for you, but even if it doesn't you can look back on your choices with pride.

Very recognising! To get some funds for our very first home I sold my beloved Krell PAM-1, the l' Audiophile Hiraga 20 Watt Class A power amp (1.5 Farad in the power supply, one of the best amps ever made), the SystemDek II turntable with Mission 774 arm and Kiseki Blue cartridge and Siltech wiring. The lot And more As already said, all material things but there was a little pain.... No regrets though.

That's definitely a lot to give up, Frans! Someone took our modified 1978 Klipschorn speakers off today.

I'm sure we'll achieve our goals with this venture, the most important of which is to be living together again.

Thank you again for the kind support!

This wonderful act of selflessness (or more accurately, succession of acts) speaks to your character, superior judgment, and loyalty. I'm certain it must be very difficult for you to forfeit your prized possessions, but your ability to see the bigger picture and defer your gratification so that your spouse may succeed, says more about you than anything material could ever convey. My hope is that you and she are blessed with enduring good health and good fortune. You are indeed someone special, and for this, you have my respect.
