Beautiful.

Brave of you to admit on here that you paid grey prices for this!

I am in a dilemma at the moment, as I had planned to buy an Explorer II and have my name down on a list at my AD. But I recently had the great good fortune to borrow both a Hulk and an Explorer II from a friend of a friend who has about 20 Rolexes, and I not only love the Hulk and will now remove my name from the list for the Ex II, but I love the Hulk way more than my own SD 43.

But my AD is not even taking orders for their list for the Hulk, and I am not reall y prepared to pay so much for it that I would go grey!

Bah!

I’ve managed to get down on a list for an AD for the hulk in the UK. Does anyone know the expected time frame though?

I have no problem admitting I went gray on this purchase. The various AD's wouldn't put my name on the list or required that I buy crap I don't want or need just to get my name down for the Hulk. Since this is a keeper for me I see no issues with paying over retail. I wanted a brand new example with all stickers in place and I wanted it now. I'm happy with my decision.

How much over retail did you pay?

this looks like a pro photographer and a wrist watch model! is this how rolex "influences" in 2019? :-)

perhaps this is the problem with the 116610lv. people like your good self have taken photos like these and that has wet the appetite's of thousands via insta etc. it simply looks extraordinary in these photos and certainly in sunlight that dial does all sorts of lovely things.

i bought mine in 2015 or so when they were readily available, less than rrp and AUD was parity with USD. i got lucky!

Congrats and thanks for sharing! This reference grows on me more and more. I already have a sub (pre maxi case) and sunburst blue yacht master, yet the siren call of this watch is admittedly becoming more and more difficult to resist. Did I mention that green is my favorite color?
