Awesome find! I have a 1970 Pepsi and there is a bit of rarities in Rolex production this year. Many 1970 1675's demonstrate a thinner lower crown guard than the top. Some more prominent that others but still noticeable. If you google the 1970 1675 or search H.Q. Miltion's site, it occurs on quite a bit of 1970 models. At first I thought it may be due to over polishing but it's not. It's almost like when the crown opening was milled - drilled, it was off slightly in the jig. I find it very cool and can almost spot a 1970 serial right away.

And worth to mention also that the chamfer from this era is bold, Long and distinctive compare to other case. This is what I noticed on my never polished 1675. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Can you share pics of your unpolished 1675? Curious to see the changer and etc that you mentioned above. |

I inherited a GMT Master when my father died back in 1998 - I have the original receipt from when my father purchased it in 1970 and wear it every day
Naively, I had the dial replaced when getting it serviced a few years back and have since found it has devalued the watch I’ve also learnt it doesn’t have the original strap on it, which I have no idea when it was changed Does anyone know if Rolex will replace them with the original parts? I heard somewhere that they keep them when they service them? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Awesome Springer. In the new world of casual flippers, it is good to see that we still have experts keeping the vintage hobby alive and true to form.
Thanks for sharing.
