Just curious if all P-serial white dial 116520 will turn cream/Panna? Any cases, where P-serials down turn?

Also, is it the UV rays that change the color of the dial?

Its Daytona from 2000 to 2004 Rolex notice the problem buy apparently back then you can get the dial swapped for free or if your watch went in for service they would swap it. So plenty will have the dials changed.
But now folk like them as it's a good defect

As a result of the dials changing colour in the early series ,conversely there are less all white dial models in the P series now so equally collectible.Something to consider also.

I was not aware at the time about these dials as this particular watch has a beautiful creamy off white colour dial.
A very lucky purchase being in the right place at the right time.
Would not part with this watch ever !

Post some pictures of your cream dial.

Great thread OP! Here is my P-serial, safe queen, NOS with stickers, and comes as a complete set including the original sales receipt.

I hope people keep posting info and pics on this extremely interesting watch.

Perhaps we need a Daytona cream dial owners thread.

I made a Daytona “panna” cream dial owners thread:

https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=717390

Owners, let’s update the above thread. Show off those beautiful cream dials!

Dunno. I actually like the pure white color better on the Daytona.

The Daytona cream/panna is a very collectable watch. It is the white dial counterpart of the black Patrizzi dial. It may eventually equal or surpass the Daytona Patrizzi. IMO

This is a very interesting one that I suspect will go for well over the estimate.

My dealer showed me one of these a few years back. Very interesting. Most comprehensive read I've had on them.

I thought I read somewhere that there are some falsified Panna dial watches out there if I’m not mistaken. If so proceed w caution.

I bought a K-serial 116520 in Portland a couple of years ago and I had no idea of the blemish. I noticed that the dial was not super white as I expected and when compared to my 16750 Polar, I could certainly spot the disparity. The dealer I bought it from didn't have a clue that it may one day be a sought after piece. I have no intention of selling or auctioning it off but I am pleased to have stumbled upon it. Right place, right time, right watch.

Recently, I bought a 1991 N-serial 14270 with what watch geeks refer to as a frozen dial. Once again, right place, right time, lightning strikes twice kinda thing...

What makes you think that dial came off another watch?
